It's not fake news. The actions taken or not taken by the Navy are only relevant to that small part of the story. Some dim bulb thought it would be a good idea to curry favor with the Orange Turd by sending out instructions to remove the mote in his eye. I am taking god at his word, that he did not order it. The Navy action or inaction only serves to provide a branch of the story.
