MIAA Lacrosse 2025

Post by gymman1031 »

I know we have a ways to go before next season. But, there are already multiple questions that can be asked. That includes:

Who will be the next coaches at Severn and St. Mary's? Have they ever both been looking for head coaches at the same time before?

St Mary's and Severn both looking for new Head Coaches this summer.
St Mary's names Will Dalton as interim.
No news on the Severn front.

Post on D1 board says former Marist HC Keegan Wilkinson is headed to Severn.

Yes, great hire who is a St. Mary's guy and runs the ProStart club program. Most of the 'A' conference schools have "feeder' programs and it will be interesting to see if he can lure enough players from the Annapolis Hawks program to keep the Saints competitive. My son played 1 year for ProStart in 2021, 1 year after the pandemic. His team was competitive with the best teams and he was the 5th attackman of the 5 on the team. He was not buried on the bench like you get with some other club teams.

Bumping this thread up as the 2024 thread should get retired going forward.

In addition to hires etc, it can be interesting for participants to share what sports lax players are playing this fall and how they're doing...

Good hire but unfortunately that ship has sailed for STM all the top talent is going to Spalding now. With the leadership @STM don’t see things changing anytime soon. St Mary’s is a lacrosse school not a football school. Until all the resources are committed to lacrosse they will be near the bottom of the miaa A going forward.
