I think you missed the point completely. Rutgers issues has little do with transfers, its issues are with HS recruiting as I noted in my post.

Syracuse absolutely supplemented with transfers this past season but they also had a significant homegrown foundation. This is evidenced by the fact that they have 2 portal commits this off-season.
I think the point you missed was that Rutgers did get the top Jersey recruit in '23 in Kurdyla. But as you say, they don't get the numbers they should from the state. I don't think they are losing them to the B1G or ACC. Rather, they are losing them to the Ivies and privates like Villanova and Georgetown.
The comment about them not losing them to the BIG or ACC didn't sound correct to me so I checked IL New Jersey recruiting for 24 and 25. Currently there are 3 5 star recruits for those years. One headed to Harvard. The other 2 headed to Virginia and Duke, respectively. There are multiple 4 stars headed to Penn State, Maryland, Notre Dame, Hopkins, Virginia, etc, etc
Just to be aware the kid going to UVA is the son Of a Rutgers lacrosse alum.
That’s a good dad, you always want better for your kids
Slam them whenever there's an opportunity, eh lorin?

Have you copped yet to why you have such a hard on for the school/program/coach?
Because its very hard to make a U turn in NJ

Coach Brecht is very honest. He let his kid know he wasn’t Rutgers material and should look elsewhere.

He’s obviously not taking it well.

Why compete Syracuse and Rutgers as programs? Nothing comparable about them .
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

Volunteer Assistant Peter Dolan has accepted an assistant coaching role with High Point. Congrats to Peter. He's a great addition for High Point and should do very well in a bigger role.

Do we know it's a bigger role? By all accounts it looks like he is the 3rd assistant, I know his role at Rutgers wasn't all that big but seems like an odd move. Maybe more $ (and money certainly goes further down there) as well as a chance to collaborate more and have his voice heard and be part of a young staff? Interesting times....

Full time assistant at HPU vs Volunteer assistant at Rutgers.
Average assistant coach pay at HPU is $35,389. I'd imagine Rutgers was less than this with a higher cost of living.
I think you also make a good point with having a "bigger voice."

My understanding was when third assistants could be paid, he was compensated around a similar number but yes cost of living is tough. potentially can make more with camps and lessons on the side down south as well, especially less "alliances or factories" if you will, down there, but at the end of the day this had to come down to trying to make a name for himself and RU probably was not that place for him

He's an Assistant at HPU. They have a defensive coordinator. Looks like he will be working with the offense. It's a bigger title which would be more responsibility and money.
