Boston University 2019

Post by LaxOverBaseball »

Made my day finding out the forums still exist with all the same posters. Navy forum is always entertaining.

Great win by BU today v Army. They showed composure and desire against a tough Black Knight team. Coming from behind (8-4 at half) to win 15-13. McSorley played well, but this win was a total team win. Didn’t have to rely on any particular position.

Go BU!

Very impressive BU! There were about 4,000 people at the Army-BU game versus just under 2,000 at the Duke-Notre Dame game.

What adjustments did BU make at half? They came out firing!

Fantastic win for BU! First program win over a Top 5 opponent.

Really hope Q is not injured badly. It did not look good taking him off the field. He deserves PL Defensive Player of the Week for holding Spencer to 1 assist!!

Gray and Burr are a top five tandem. The behind the back pass to a crease diving Burr for a goal was delicious.

This team is solid at all positions.

Go BU!

We should just go ahead a proclaim Germain 1st team AA right now. Not sure that Spencer has been held to 0,1 his entire career.

Another season with two games to go and BU can be anywhere from #1 seed to out of PL tourney.

BU beats Navy and Holy Cross
There is a reasonable chance of a four way tie at 6-2.

BU loses to Navy and Holy Cross
There is a reasonable chance of a four way tie at 4-4 for three spots.

Lehigh falling to Robert Morris hurt everyone’s RPI. The PL is a one team league.

Go BU!

BU with a chance for a Bye and at worst case a home game in Round 1.

Germaine did not play vs Holy Cross. Hope to see him out there v Navy.

Go BU! Beat Navy! (and HC beat Lehigh)

Glad we already made the PLT. BU looked horrible. Too many unforced turnovers all the way to the end of the game.

Hand it to Navy though,BU man-up was held to no shots on goal in 4th Qtr when they had a 2 man-up situation and another man-up situation in the final 30 seconds.

Kern was great. Three door step stops in 2nd half. Literally 1-v-1 on crease with BU attackman. Three times.

Shake it off. Get past it and be ready for PLT.

Go BU!

Yes tough spot for BU with Navy needing the game, look what Lehigh did in the same situation, at least BU almost pulled it off.

Getting Germain back would really help.

Obviously need this one tonight, tough to beat a team twice, which would bode well against Lehigh, who is reeling at this point.

Go Terriers!!!!

Germaine is back and Defense looks much more in sync. Don’t have to play as much zone as they did against Navy.

Offense is on a roll. Chris Gray got his PL leading 100th point of the season and is still going. 13-5 in 4th

This BU team should have every fan of a potential bubble team - Cornell/Towson/Hopkins/etc - worried... :|

It will be very interesting to see how BU and Army play on Friday night having played an extra game. If you think about it, let’s say BU beats Lehigh on Friday that means they will have played 3 games in eight days and would play a 4th game two days later on Sunday. I don’t care how in shape these guys are, that is tough. Seems the tables might be turned, as I think Loyola was in that exact situation (3 games in seven days) when they lost to BU a couple weeks ago. Should be an exciting weekend.

:) Anyone know where he's considering landing? Like Ierlan, I'd assume with a school that contends for a National Championship. But which one...?

If it is truly an academic based decision...gotta be Upenn, Cornell, or Yale right?
