Re: Kayla Treanor. Is this true?
3 transfers (none of whom saw the field last season) and 2 noteworthy decommits (who likely flipped because they thought the coach they wanted to play for was no longer going to be there) - have there been more?

Based on this article shared by AS, looks like the two decommits had nothing to do with extramarital affairs as the thoughts started early on.orangelax13 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 09, 2024 12:01 am 3 transfers (none of whom saw the field last season) and 2 noteworthy decommits (who likely flipped because they thought the coach they wanted to play for was no longer going to be there) - have there been more?

Being a humble superstar by no means makes you a good coach. She was horrible to several girls on the team last year, from what I hear. Being a good coach is very different from being a good superstar.orangelax13 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 10:10 pmI’m biased but I agree. She’s not a bad person she just made a bad mistake. She’ll learn a hard lesson from this, but it has nothing to do with her ability to go on and be a tremendous coach. If Cuse lets her go it’ll be another program’s gainLax101 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 9:45 pm At this point does it really matter. She made a bad decision and I'm glad Syracuse is not firing her. She is one of the most liked and humble superstars in the history of womens lacrosse. Public humiliation is a strong enough sentence in my opinion. I suggest we all move on and stop feeding this thread.

Re: Kayla Treanor. Is this true?
I agree that she is a great superstar in women's lacrosse history. Unfortunately, if people were to know her on a more personal level or be a player on her team, it's easy to see that she is not a kind person. She doesn't treat her players well. She is belittling, calls them names, says mean things to them, etc. That's not what a good coach or person does.Lax101 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 9:45 pm At this point does it really matter. Myself, many families, and many players have been around or encountered that side of her firsthand and it's not fun.

Who thought they left because of extramarital affairs? And who cares. This is the biggest non-story story that wont end on this forum. Can these kids just go to college and play?
Can we just let Cuse sort it all out, or not.

Re: Kayla Treanor. Is this true?
Non-story story? Care to explain how hanging a dark cloud over an elite program, putting everyone around you in an uncomfortable position, probably losing a ton of respect from your team, and likely costing your program future recruits is a non-story.
Can these kids just go to college and play? Sure should be able to and not be put in a position to have to answer questions about their HC's goings and wonder whether or not she's going to be their HC tomorrow.
Non-story my asz.
Re: Kayla Treanor. Is this true?
So, when I hear rumors, I try my best to validate them. Almost all of the discussion about this subject is located here on the board. Then, my searches showed two other places where this was being discussed. I went to both and learned their sources were this board. So far, this is the place where these rumors are being discussed. You decide if that is good or bad.
I have no idea if they are true or not true. But, so far, the storyline stops here.
I am content to wait for CUSE to do or not do something about this. I do not know anything about this coach except that she was an outstanding player, she ran the offense on BC's first championship and made the Final Four the last two years. That record is impressive and does not reflect someone who cannot coach. She is probably intense. If, so, recruits and parents should determine if this coach is best for their athlete.
Perhaps there are folks here who have info that is more than hearsay -- hearsay is statements like '"everyone is talking about it" -- because they are not talking about it in social media. Perhaps, it will blow up -- perhaps CUSE will act the way some here hope they will.
But posting the same comments over and over are not going to make it happen. We have all heard these comments and have had sufficient time to digest them. Let's let go and let what will happen, happen.

Are you the parent of a cuse commit ? I’m hearing the commits and team are doing just fine ( from current players and commits ). If you’re not then let it go. If this black cloud is directly over you, the portal opens in December. This story is only circulating here. It’s old now. Move on. Cuse will survive.DMac wrote: ↑Tue Jul 09, 2024 4:21 pmNon-story story? I have no idea which current players you are referring to that think everything is all good. Because everything is not.McLax9777 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 09, 2024 6:53 pmAre you the parent of a cuse commit ? We are all worried about what is happening and I'm tired of people who have no idea what they're talking about acting as if they do. The players and their parents are very worried.
This is not only circulating here and if you think it is then you truly have no idea what’s going on. Correct the portal opens in December. If she doesn’t get fired then that means another semester is going to be spent with a coach that calls players names, belittles them, and is overall not nice to them. In addition to having violated a huge amount of NCAA bylaws and Syracuse policy. The team is hurting and no one is listening. Kayla’s affair was the cherry on top. This shouldn’t just fizzle out. Parents are speaking up and so are players. To compliance and to the NCAA. They’ve asked for help before but compliance didn’t listen and dismissed them. She has been affecting the team negatively ever since she’s been there.
