Another query from the appreciative peanut gallery:
Service Academies. No inbound Transfers, right?
So with just one bite at the recruiting apple, so to speak, they're at a distinct disadvantage as to hoovering up the late, late bloomers. Therefore, they're at a disadvantage as to building a month-of May juggernaut as well.....more's the pity.
They don't take transfers but they have virtually unlimited class sizes. Navy is listed as having 21 incoming recruits, over half of whom either prepped at Navy prep or did a grad year at another prep school, essentially being redshirts.
I don't begrudge anything the academies do because of what they are there to do, but recruiting isn't necessarily a crutch for them either. Their 24 roster has 64 players listed. That's a lot of bites at the apple out of HS.

I heard assistant coach Ryan Wellner say on a recent podcast that they are able to fund an additional 16 spots (above the 12.6) due to the NIL $’s available at Notre Dame lacrosse. Apologize if I’m misstating his comment, but if true, it’s going to be a long road ahead for the conferences outside the B1G or ACC.
Yeah that’s where homeboy got the effective 23 which which was posted on here application as Notre dame previously but he repackaged w/o the name as if he was running with some inside info. Won’t say who…
Actually wasn't talking about ND until someone else brought them up. It was another school. Mr. MBA can't seem to ever get anything right.
I will say Hobart definitely isn't that school.
Still wondering what Farfromgeneva says in each post. It’s like he is speaking in tongues. English is such a sad language to waste.
A narrow and soulless scope of use of language is a waste of life .

Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

No one is smart enough to understand it. He has an MBA.
He uses a mobile phone exclusively to post, that's my guess.
Joe
Exclusively is not accurate but predominantly would be correct. See
Some guys can exceed the “that dude who isn’t fooling anyone with his fake it til you make it routine”
And Joe knows even if we’ve disagreed I’m down with LI loves the Twins and OSU man.

They make up for it through their prep schools, though. All 3 service academies take a ton of recruits each year and stash many in their prep schools.

Austin Winship from Rutgers commits to Rockhurst. Kinda crazy am I wrong? Going from top 20 d1 to average/ above average d2 insane.
Looks like Winship is from Minnesota. Rockhurst has a ton of Minnesota kids. My guess is he has some buddies on the rockhurst roster from high school/club. Probably was offered a full ride and promised a starting spot.

Why ?
Schools are expensive.
Go to the school that's best for you, regardless.

Right. The commitment can be a major life suck especially if you are not playing. I don't entirely disagree with the sentiment that unless the degree is Ivy, standing on a sideline is of questionable value to one's life.
Kind of a weird transfer for Notre Dame. They are bringing in three 4-star middies and one 5-star (the #1 player in the class ). Had two in last year's class and another three on the way in 2025. They are not wanting for young midfield talent.

The most recent naps class I saw, within the past 3 years, there were maybe 4 actual recruited players on the team one rehabbing an ACL all year. There were players on the naps team that would not make the club team at navy. There are players recruited to play on the naps team that had never played lax before.
It’s a great prep for the academy but it’s not a place to get better at lax. Most recruits I believe by far are direct admits now at navy not from the prep school.
And the list of recruited players coming in for future classes that you might see posted somewhere. Many of these are not coach recruited players that the coach will fight to get in often they are players from HS who will show up at tryouts pleb year and then after one day will head to the club team never once making the varsity in their 4 years
