Someone in Geneva might just try to approach Carl Spackler strategy suggested to Ty regarding Judge Smails. “He’ll quit the game!”

But nobody realizes how rigid it is in Geneva and awful that our FR starter D man who could play a level higher and has the size and athleticism in Brooks Rhine just walked down the conference street to Richmond.

I could live with graduated Derrek Madonna going to play with younger brother. But when you lose a 1st team all A10 FR close D man like Rhine to Richmond. Well my position on Raymond is already clear but for folks who don’t know Rhine is valuable than Chris Patterson (who if I believe a rumor I heard may be heading to an Ivy)

https://hwsathletics.com/sports/mens-la ... hine/21470

6’2 think he’s actually heavier than listed closer to 200. 13 games/13 started, 26Gbs and 8 CTs as # 2man to Nolan Firth.

Wow and guys come after me as if I get personal. Let’s see how expert you are. This will be remembered.

Btw that’s your first post here? Do you rank The Accused as the greatest love story ever also?

And second post? Judds brother is a friend of mine. My son was in camp with his (though four or so years apart) last week.

Balsamo was buried for Benn Johnston this year. Did you watch him as a FR? That was a failure by Dani not Balsamo IMO.

No, he has another year, he withdrew for a semester to secure his eligibility.

6’2 think he’s actually heavier than listed closer to 200. 13 games/13 started, 26Gbs and 8 CTs as # 2man to Nolan Firth.
Check your facts on Rhine. According to the HWS webpage he was not A10 All Rookie team. Would not have started were it not for preseason injury.

Former Holy Cross attackman Luca Ward (11G, 5A) is transferring to @TerpsMLax, he tells @Inside_Lacrosse.

The Montclair (N.J.) alum started every game as a freshman for the Crusaders and scooped 20 GBs & caused 5 TOs.

Typo I use mobile for this you’ve seen this from me.

What I meant was potential to be 1st team all A10 eventually, I do believe, and was a strong FR starter for us (admittedly a bad team/season but it was the O that let us down really). I think he’s more talented than Galiani who you at referring to. At this stage is he even coming back either?

Questioning Maryland’s recruiting? Taken a grip on transfers? Funny joke?! Like last year with their one transfer? Maybe you’re confusing Rutgers? There are many schools that use transfers far more than Md. The schools that consistently grab the most highly rated recruits use the portal more than most. Va uses it sparingly but gets top ranked players. Duke thrives in the portal despite their recruiting.

Doesn’t make any sense.

Terps shredded the number 3/4 team with any number of non top 10-20 rated recruits.
If you’re looking for a class of top 5 and so recruits, then that is the Terps 2024-2025 class.
Tillman is keeping up with the top 3/4 teams with this year’s portal activity, it isn’t enough to just get a top 5 incoming freshmen class if you want to make it to Memorial day.

If you mean the semis it was sadly as simple as taking away the two man game and uva was toast for some strange reason around them not running enough and needing too much settled O this year. Not quite the draw gifts Hop got a few times late 2000s but it did appear matchup specific especially given no Monday went down.

I was really impressed with how they waxed uva and thought they would
Lose rd 1 so Tillman really did a great job; the thread here after the Duke win was goofy still.

They had enough taste to get to Geneva they aren’t recidivists and the two that left are heading for better education than they’d get in New Beunswick. We should get his sophisticated analysis on how Media operates in college sports. Literally as linear was getting crushed is explain how the dead model was driving things forward by cable regions. For years refused everyone’s explanation about how the at large selection process works. This is a guy you fade in every way imaginable when he espouses a view.

The colleges are going to have their best year since before the NYT Anna piece or debacle in 08-09 (which not only included the d3 mess but also the grandson of a BoT member overdosing there and ncaa back slapping us because our awesome AD basically didn’t file the right power work since they moved up to D1…and then hired Raymond who’s son and him in his wedding party on the way out the door while having pocketed camp money for what’s depressing BJ and Matt’s ability to function). Probably since around when I left ironically. Both on fundraising and enrollment despite a lot. Hockey team won BTB D3 titles. But flagship sports of FB which had the highest drafted and possibly most prolific career of a D3 player and lacrosse are in the tank. (Relative for football feeling like a part of building it in the early Coach Cragg years after decades of not so great results other than an occasional year in a hundred year history of playing)

Funny how that goes. At least we will never be butler’d but becoming a more generic liberal arts college without that nasty FU lax zeitgeist that made it respected everywhere even in a bad loss until the last decade or so. And football has become run of the mill above .500 who cares in a cohort that runs almost 250 competing programs deep (250 and they get 32 in playoffs and it’s like 4 at larges with national participation coast to coast for all the playoff complaining about ratios here)

Point is with all the news in Geneva homeboy can throw down 1882 and 1766 handles and call Hopkins a rival but they’ll never have what we have no matter how douchy one fraudulent man can get about it while being completely in the dark about most things in life and wrong so often - a natural fake it and never make it who gives what is otherwise a respectable flagship state school a bad rep. I’m covered bc we had Tommy the traveler and Cabell Maddux on campus…no worst than third worst.

Where’s the Rutgers 25 thread yet? When gymman hasn’t posted a thread for you yet and no one else cares to enough to find it at all…

There are many schools that use transfers far more than Md. The schools that consistently grab the most highly rated recruits use the portal more than most. Va uses it sparingly but gets top ranked players. Duke thrives in the portal despite their recruiting.
Nah. This is just his way of doing "whataboutism" with Maryland in comparison to Rutgers. Since everyone questions Rutgers' HS recruiting and their reliance on the portal, 1766 is trying to say that everyone is being hypocritical by not getting on Maryland the same way they do Rutgers.

Results do speak for themselves. Maryland has played in 8 title games over the past 13 years and made 10 Final 4s over that span. So...sure...samesies!!!!

But I do think it's clear that Tillman is worried about talent on the roster. The two incoming sophomores (Navy and Holy Cross kids) are your traditional transfers. The 3 graduate transfers are you "portal era" transfers. The former group is still about development. The latter group is about about plugging immediate holes.

Former Yale defenseman Brett Mallee will spend his grad year at @NovaLacrosse, he tells @Inside_Lacrosse.

The La Salle (Pa.) alum emerged as an important reserve defender for the Bulldogs over the last two years, with 23 GBs & 10 CTs in 28 games.
