Torpey was hired on 5/21... HPU had the HC position listed on 5/24:

Maybe there's a chance we'll see Broschart in Providence?
Come on … we need names heeya.

Actually he accidentally typed while listening to OutKast.

(Surprise to swifty but a real person was shaking it like a Polaroid occurred before she ripped it off for her derivative song)
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

Actually, wondering who is interested in HPU HC position.

And yes, that OutKast song is great, but “heeya” was “here” with a Southern twang.

I got it but my song is more entertaining than the brown AC or HPU ac will be. Unless you’re responding to Simon Conor’s avatar who pimps his alter ego here once a week these days.

And you’re explaining to a guy in Atlanta who was NY trash that married into a family that founded Furman, owned textile mills and printed confederate money about southern twang. A guy who actually listens to hip hop enough to know it’s their 176th best song here in Atlanta wheee the rankings have to have aquagemini and anything with killer Mike towards the top. This all while being Ivy educated and living in San Diego. Come on. My last three signatures have been dead prez and jay z song lyrics with a scene from Menace to Society in between.

People around Atlanta who know hip hop utilize Hey Ya the way Jazz is used in Talladega nights:

Assuming Amplo may want to go elsewhere in the near future, my hunch is he may be waiting to see what happens at Hofstra, his alma mater.

It's amazing to me how little ADs understand about the importance and timing of coaching decisions. Whether to let go or hire. In today's portal dominated world, timing has a significant impact on roster stability.

Any word on Merrimack?? Feel like they are doing their entire program a disservice by not having someone in place now into June. Recruiting/summer workouts/team activities etc. not a good look right now.

No idea if Greg Paradine would consider leaving Lenoir Rhyne. But if he does have any thought of coaching D1 at some point this would seem to be the time and might be the opening to make a move. More generally, I could imagine some mutual interest between High Point and D2 HC's who've had success in the region.

He turned down High Point when Torpey was hired. Was a finalist, negotiated for more money, didn’t get it, and took Marquette instead.

High Point was better off.
