attackman Eric Malever has entered the portal as a grad transfer, per a source. Posting 15g/22a as a senior, the former Top 10 recruit racked up 105 points in three seasons in College Park, missing all of 2023 after putting up 48 points for the national champs in ‘22.

I keep thinking Notre Dame, which had BJ Burlace as a reserve last year via transfer and has younger brother Gavin on the roster, might make a play for Colin Burlace. Just a hunch.
I don’t know why you are trying to will this into reality…Burlace will likely be the Terps top defender next year, he isn’t going anywhere. And Notre Dame can’t “make a play” unless the player enters the portal (he hasn’t), otherwise it is blatant tampering. BJ left because he wasn’t going to see the field at Maryland.
Calm down, eh? it’s the internet.
Take your make-a-wish requests elsewhere
Come on now testy Testudo. I’m sorry Malever may be leaving College Park — he seemed like he was much closer to his pre-injury self towards the end of the year during MD’s great run — but it does seem to show that anybody can transfer out in the age of the portal, even if they are doing great things at their current school. I was very clear that I was just musing and not passing on any sort of rumor. With respect to the rest of your rebuttal, the oldest brother didn’t see the field all that much at the new destination either, and it was foreseeable based on form that he would not, raising the question of why Notre Dame used up a transfer/roster slot. (Youngest brother had been committed to ND already. So it was not a flip situation.).

Nor do I want it to happen, I’m not a fan of Notre Dame vis a vis Maryland and not a giant fan of the free agent era of lacrosse. (while recognizing it’s here to stay). I am a proud Internet lacrosse rando and nothing I speculate will affect real world events.

Seem the AD told Gait he had to cut down his roster a couple weeks ago and the yesterday Jordie Barstool tweeted that there are dark times in Syracuse and then went on to imply it was Spillina transfer out. I don’t see him giving up the NIL$ and #22. But if Gait needs to cut the roster you could see other names in the portal.

Yes - I looked through the Syracuse forum, some with possible inside knowledge - it looks like it could be someone of consequence.

Spallina is also contracted with Gait’s company.

Roster as of last year was 66, post-Covid all coaches know their rosters got out of hand.

And also, Syracuse spends far more on lacrosse than the number two spender.

It will be basically starting from scratch on offense. I’m
Looking at 2026 or even 2027 as the next year the Hoos will be a true natty threat. Have studs coming in but still not enough there at midfield or face-off. Will need to hit to portal hard there. Verdict still out on Cassese as a coach and Mac as the primary threat for sure. And goalie is still a question mark. In fact other than close-D/LSM, questions abound.

I didn’t mean to pick a fight initially but I realize I’m acting like a bit of a jerk. I can see how speculating if a certain player would want to transfer would be annoying and I will henceforth knock it off! NYTerp09, I apologize. And I am a big admirer of Tillman and the program he has built so did not mean to be seen as taking a shot at either.

Cheers.

Barstool Jordie is a clown that rode pine at Ursinus when they were bottom of the barrel D3. I DOUBT he has inside knowledge on a transfer of Spallinas figure. Maybe a few kids got into some trouble at the end of the year? Just does not make sense if Spallina is leaving. But what do I know typing this from my desk job.

Revenues there probably far exceed the rest of the ACC and probably most or all big ten schools for the sport is hypothesize without the info at hand. It’s Syracuse your alternatives are destiny mall or Oxy. Wait until the bond holders get wiped out on destiny mall and suddenly home & CRE values/appreciation stops and values decline reducing property tax revenues at the same time as jobs and employment have also peaked. We’re at all time highs in municipal revenues right now but not for much longer. Thankfully assessments are only annually.

Didn’t you come after me recently? Now the second time in a personal level. What’s your issue? Who hurt you? Why should I not respond when you’re coming after me personally multiple times. Or are you one of these clowns who has multiple handles here? Literally the second time you’ve not been involved and stepped in and personally insulted me. I just don’t lay down like your partners in intimacy when assaulted or bullied.

Why did you feel the need to involve yourself? I’ve been communicating with doc since early mid LP days. Sometimes w e it heads and less frequently but sometimes agree. The rest appears to be a “C” (student apparently) in an A-B convo. And you’re the one pretending to be cool and agnostic? Get the f**k out of here.

Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

attackman Eric Malever has entered the portal as a grad transfer, per a source.

Cheers.
You didn’t and weren’t but you gave him what he wanted with an apology so almost have to applaud the wack heuristics utilized. Almost like farting in an elevator and staring and wrinkling nose at someone else until they apologize for your fart.
What’s your issue? Who hurt you?

Feel better mate

Revenues there probably far exceed the rest of the ACC and probably most or all big ten schools for the sport is hypothesize without the info at hand. It’s Syracuse your alternatives are destiny mall or Oxy. Wait until the bond holders get wiped out on destiny mall and suddenly home & CRE values/appreciation stops and values decline reducing property tax revenues at the same time as jobs and employment have also peaked. We’re at all time highs in municipal revenues right now but not for much longer. Thankfully assessments are only annually.

Could there be any worse word salad without meaning? Every post is filled with nonsensical language trying to show how smart you are. Really? “Wait until the bond holders get wiped out on destiny mall”? You are a poser
