On a related note, I saw somewhere that the LIC's are Wednesday 5/29/24. Then the Nassau County site listed an additional round on 6/1/24 as a regional and then NYS Semis on 6/5/24 and NYS Championships on 6/8/24 at Hofstra.

Isn't this ONE TOO many rounds?

Oddly enough it looks like this may just be correct. If you go to NYPHSAA Lacrosse Brackets (something I lack the ability to post a link to) it looks as if after LIC the LI winner plays the Section IX Representative which will have a Bye into that round at Middletown H.S. Section IX is around Rockland and Orange Counties. Seems like some lobbying may have been done. The winner of those games will then face the opponent LI winners are accustomed to seeing in the State Semi; the Section I vs. Section II winner.

That rotation has never included S8 or 11 only S1 and S2
Lobbying indeed. What a dumb idea. Running clocks all around. 9 has never been competitive with either 1 or 2 and it will only be worse with 8 and 11 in the mix

Now it is, but SS scored 2 goals in the final seconds. 7-5 SS at the half. It was 2-0 SS, then Manhasset scored 5 straight, now SS returned the favor

Not a good finish to that quarter to give up 2 goals in the last 15 seconds. They have to come out aggressive in the 2nd half. Melkonian is such a beast at X it makes it difficult.
