Not a great list but not bad.
The only things that stood out to me were:
- Ben Wayer got snubbed. He’s at worst a 2nd Team AA. 92 GB’s, 27 Caused Turnovers, and 13 points is an insane state line. Especially with the tough schedule UVA played.
- I would swap Mclane with Dobson on the 2nd team. He’s been way more productive and you can’t use the excuse of Mclane goes against a shorty because Dobson has also gotten the shorty a lot this year due to Faison’s dodging ability.
- Brandau should be a first teamer over O’Neill or Kav. Pretty self explanatory but O’Neill had some stinkers this year. Great player but his name definitely carried him to the 1st team.
Yes, Wayer would be my #1, at worst #2.
But Piseno heck of a player so ok...but

Excited to see Lyght get the respect he deserves. Dobson on 2nd team is... interesting.
Due to last year think he’s been playing hurt this year as he’s come in in the playoffs
Sort of surprised Checo wasn’t 2nd or 3rs team.

I admit my changes are nitpicking but these are my changes. You are limited to 3 Attack, 3 mid, 3 D, 1 LSM, 2 SSDM and 1 Goalie each team. Simple.
Then Brandau over O'Neill pretty easy
McLane at 2nd over Dobson -switch
Kastner switches with Brower-
Figueiras replaces Dwan Dwan to HM
I want to move Mayer up but over who Love T Carpenter's game and Zupicich had a wonderful season. Leaves me to think what was P Myers thinking not playing this kid much last year
My biggest gripes are some kids not getting HM. Robinson from Delaware and McNaney from MD

The reason there are more than 3 at a position is because of ties in the voting. Not sure of a fair way to determine who should get the spot. I suppose they could do a revote for the ties? Regardless, the spots are deserved - it’s not a case of “grade inflation”.

O'Neill gets in on reputation over Brandau who actually did it on the field.
Exactly, this is starting to drive me crazy. they care about media hype more than the actual results on the field.
O'Neill 19 games 54 g 29.7 sh% 27 A 81 pts 4.26 pts/g (23rd in D1) 34 GB 20 TO 3CT
Brandau 15 games 44 g 36.1 sh% 57 A 101 pts 6.73 pts/g (#1 in D1) 35 GB 27 TO 3CT
O'Neill is a load for opponents to defend, but this ain't a close call. Not remotely.
Still weird in a system where Lyons and johnson also dropped 55-65pts last year as underclassmen and didn’t play this year. Can cut both ways in terms of soulful for Brandau but the system is set up to generate pts clearly.

In the sense that it’s a “we’d rather not make a hard decision and so we will give them all trophies” - there’s a million ways to solve a tie they just don’t want to be held accountable for it when it’s easier to just flood the listing with names

Leaving Long from Cornell off the list is a total snub. 5 ppg ranks 5th in the country ahead of names like Cormier, Williams, Spallina, Hiltz, Duffy, Zawada, Mackesy, Angelus, Shelly, O'Neill, both Kavanaghs, and even his teammate, Kirst.

I dont see any way to say McNaney deserved HM. He had one of the worst season of any goalie in the Big 10.

I have to agree on Figueiras. Not sure how he didn't get at least HM. He finished 2nd in the ACC for CTO behind Kastner and statistically is better than several that are on the HM list.
What's interesting, and something that didn't occur to me until last year, is that this list apparently appears in the order of votes. Or at least that's what I speculated and then someone chimed in that it's always been that way.
So that would mean this is a ranking at each position in the view of the coaches that voted. So, Zap is the top rated defenseman, Shellenberger the top rated attackman. Brandau was viewed as fifth behind Kirst.

Yeah I love McNaney and I’m glad he’s the terp’s goalie, but he didn’t have a great regular season by any stretch.

Yeah I love McNaney and I’m glad he’s the terp’s goalie, but he didn’t have a great regular season by any stretch.
It's not only his weaker save percentage, but also the fact that it seems like he consistently throws at least one ball away on a Maryland clear every game, often leading to unsettled layup or empty net goals by the competition. Just strange brain freezes sometimes. Often at critical junctures.

Question u have to ask yourself if Brandau was on Duke I think he averages 5 PPG, I don’t think ONeil averages 6.5 playing for Yale

I don't have a dog in the hunt for either player, or their teams, but that's a pretty big claim which can never be proven. We do know that O' Neill got his facing much better defenders in a much tougher schedule..... We all saw how good the Ivy League was this year..........Additionally, why do you think PLL teams made O'Neill the 1st pick and not Brandau if the latter is so much better? interestingly, Brandau wasn't even amongst the top 3 attack taken...........................

It's an award to reward the best player for that season, not to reward the best pro prospect. How many times is the Heismann trophy winner the top pick in the NFL draft?

You are the asking the wrong guy , I wish I had the answer personally I would have taken Shellenberger. I can’t get pass the ND games for O’Neil 3 points total. Shelly average 6 per game in Tournament

Shelly wasn’t exactly a star against ND this year either.
