There seem to be a lot fewer names in the transfer portal this year. Is that because the extra year of Covid eligibility has ended or will soon end? Or is it just early in the transfer cycle?

It's not early. It looks like there are around 40 names in the portal right now and at this time last year there were 85. My opinion is that the lack of an extra COVID year is having a big impact on the portal.

Perhaps a change of scenery does him well although I had hoped he'd come back next season much improved but getting passed over for PT at SSDM by a offensive player this season certainly wasn't positive.

He didn't get much PT as a freshman. He wasn't in the 4 man rotation. This yr he played some games early in season then got faded out. Probably realized he's not gonna get much PT at Cuse so wants to go somewhere he can play his final 2 seasons.
