Think he graduated Bowdoin. This would be his last year in 2025.
Looks like your correct...

Played in 2022, 2023, and 2024 at Bowdoin. 1 year left.
Whoops, you are right, had a brain cramp and was counting this year as 2023.

Did that earlier myself, happens to the best of us.

Either way... nice pick up by UM.

i would say D3 and some D2 kids are taking part in a more demanding role then those that benefit the most from NIL. many D1 kids are pampered. with unlimited food, nutritionist, dedicated fitness trainers, tutors etc. compare that to a D3 kid that is putting in the same amount of time and effort, but having to do most of this on their own.

part of me would love to see this money making it to the teams vs 1% of the players. not looking for socialism, but a fair playing field. i am sure you all have seen the “locker room” the stoneybrook women’s team had to deal with.
[/quote]

I need to disagree here. Other than the top teams in the top conferences, most D1 teams have very limited budgets. Having direct insight into 4-5 competitive teams, I can tell you they have nothing remotely close to unlimited food, nutritionist, dedicated fitness trainers, tutors, etc. Particularly most of the small private schools. The 6-7 goal loss to well-funded programs is all that more impressive IMO. NIL dollars, forget about it.

OSU attackman Matt Caputo has entered the portal, according to a source. As a freshman in 2023, the lefty from Long Island finished fourth on the team with 15 goals, then followed that up with 10G/5A this spring.

Very curious where Chris Patterson ends up. Knew about him as a high schooler and was disappointed (no insult to statesmen intended) when he landed at Hobart. talented kid.
He ends up staying at Hobart and you get a warning because we like you and all your efforts. One kid supports you, the current now and forever fantasy ruled supreme. The other one is aware of this and you as you know but she has a bit of a streak that I would best describe as if Caligula and Draco made a baby that was raised on venom, so I’m holding her back for now. But if you keep bringing he who shall not be named up…

Just saying…

But my view is he does come back at 70% and I think they make school free for him scholly which is precious now for us or stacked. So in order to leave he has to walk away from a free education and being the #1 option in offense the next three years. Decent student but don’t think they’re all open to him. Some likely out at the every top admissions wise maybe 7-10 schools or so. Then it comes down to availability of PT, life cost of transferring and comparative education, how far are they really going is quarters best case? and cost. That leaves relatively small pool.

My list of worried poachers isn’t limited to but includes BU, Lehigh, Brown, maybe 1-2 other Ivys, GT, couple of others. I haven’t drilled down on their personnel situation but BU is one that scares me.

The real smart guys are targeting Faoila and Rhine. And if someone can figure out Greene admissions as a senior his upside is so stupid high if it’s untapped there will be a IL piece on him but the current staff is good at stifling talent.

And yeah I know some will say being awesome on the worst team is not worth it but as awful as its been last two years we’re still above a solid 20 programs with more potential to get back into it. Not the same as like Lemoynes guy or similar
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

Jack VanValkenburg. has entered the Tranfer Portal. The Albany and @HAU_Nationals U-21 and Men's team goalie has battled injuries in the fall and a lower body surgery before season began causing him to miss most of the spring. He is looking for a new spot.

NCAA lists the First day as May 12th and the Last day as June 10th. Lots of movement should be happening in the next 2-3 weeks.

I thought that June 10th was last day to enter the portal. The player still has to go through the administration/transfer process for the new school. And that would depend based on the school deadlines.

Trying something new. Mainly doing this to help myself keep track. Once someone picks their destination, I'll add them from the bottom pool of available players (ordered by position) to the top part that shows where everyone has ended up. Feel like this is cleaner and easier to sift through than the old version.

I understand there are many more players in the portal than what's listed below, but, let's be honest, there are some that are of more interest to the public than others. Hoping to keep this list manageable and that requires making some judgment calls. There are a million D3 players in the portal and I have no idea who is good/worth keeping an eye on. Go to the D3 thread for that list.

Incoming transfers to
Delaware: Cory Capri (A, Yale)
Duke: Aiden Blake (M, Cornell), Graham Blake (A, Harvard), Paul Weathington (SSDM, Princeton)
Jacksonville: Drew Kessenich (M, Detroit Mercy)
Johns Hopkins: Jack Monfort (SSDM, Yale), John McKee (FO, Dickinson)
Maryland: Noah Armitage (M, Stony Brook)
Michigan: Pace Billings (LSM, Princeton), Lukas Stanat (M, Princeton), Will Byrne (A, Bowdoin), DJ Dixon (M, Wesleyan)
NJIT: Russ Maher (M, Johns Hopkins)
North Carolina: Michael Gianforcaro (G, Princeton), Spencer Wirtheim (M, Cornell), Nick Dupuis (A, Stony Brook), Andrew O'Berry (SSDM, Harvard)
Notre Dame: Greg Campisi (LSM, Harvard)
Rutgers: Joseph Juengerkes (SSDM, Princeton)
Syracuse: Mike Grace (D, RIT)

*Notable* players in portal:
Attack
Luke Grayum, Richmond
Dutch Furlong, Bucknell
Matthew Keegan, Binghamton
Chris Patterson, Hobart
Bryce Ford, Fairfield
Jeb Brenfleck, Penn State
Mason Bregman, UMass
