Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

The old Twilight Zone was one of my favorite tv series. But the new series in the 1980s was quite good as well. Perhaps the best episode was:
Time And Teresa Golowitz from 1985. The episode was based on a tale "Influencing the Hell Out of Time and Teresa Golowitz" by Parke Godwin who was an old pal of mine in NYC many years ago.

The Deputy ~ Return of Widow Brown (1961)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kc--bo7yffw
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Deputy_(TV_series) - I had no idea Norm Lear was one of its creators. Thought the series was popular but don't know why the network dropped it after only two seasons.
Great background music. Wholesome entertainment. So sad that they just don't make them like they used.

Code 3
In law enforcement and more narrowly speaking during patrol initiatives, effective communication is essential to ensuring the safety of officers, the public, and those in need of assistance.
Among the hundreds of codes and signals used by police, "Code 3" holds particular significance, indicating a critical and urgent response to an incident.
Old TV Episode:

This series lasted one season. This television series is based on true cases from the Los Angeles County Sherriff Department. As is the usual custom today, cops are presented as the wholesome heroes we'd like them to be. Too bad this is only an illusion.

Sugar is a film noir series with bent twist starring Colin Farrel who was made for role.
Monsieur Spade another Sam Spade film noir series with Clive Owen in lead. If not Bogie, then definitely Owen.
Murder Is My Life being a must see for Xena's Lucy Lawless fans. Retired police who still assists the police on some of their bizarre inquiries with much success.
Harry Wild being a must see for jane Seymour fans. Retired uni prof mother of police chief forms detective agency with young budding star to solve the most bizarre of capers.
The Brokenwood Mysteries is just a modern day Columbo type series.
Check em out, you won't be disappointed.

Sugar is a PHENOMENAL show. One of Colin Farrell's best roles yet! Such a well done noir. Hopefully comes back for a second season, there's more that can be done there. Are the last 3 Acorn TV Originals? Thanks!Jim Malone wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2024 5:30 pm Sugar is a film noir series with bent twist starring Colin Farrel who was made for role.
