man, Hop ran the picket fence for Angelus there! Don't get caught watching the paint dry.

Quint was like "they call that a slash..."
Uh, huh. A two-handed swing into the chest before body contact? Yeah. A slash.

Yeah I know a lot of those shots were from distance, but they weren't really on him. No one is saving on Degnon when he picks his spot from 10 yards, and when a pole gets full run on cage from dead center, that's always a goal when it's on cage unless it hits the goalie in the chest. Maybe you could say he should get one of the Melendez outside shots, but again they were from dead center and he place them both perfectly offside low.
Re: QF #3 Hopkins vs #6 Virginia Sunday @2:30
He didn't react to Melendez's shots until very late. Then he guessed on the pole goal. That's why they yanked him.random observer wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2024 3:28 pmYeah I know a lot of those shots were from distance, but they weren't really on him. Yeah I see the logic, but at the same time he wasn't saving any of those anyway so still feels a little harsh. No goalie tracks a pole goal like that, and Degnon within 10 yards you kind of have to guess if you want to catch up to it.Wheels wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2024 3:31 pmHe didn't react to Melendez's shots until very late. Blue Jays need to clean up those clears.
Ierlan with 5 saves already.
They need to test the new UVA goalie. Don’t need the perfect shot.

For sure it was harsh. You could see Nunes' body language after the pole goal. Clearly they'd told him he was on a short leash. He knew it was gone the second after the pole scored. He's been their weakest link all year. The Jays black chin straps make them look like giant insects.

Portal wouldn’t make sense he’s going to be a senior next year. I bet he stays and wins the job next yearWheels wrote: ↑Sun May 19, 2024 3:37 pmFor sure it was harsh. Failed clears are killing the Blue Jays.
Blue Jays’ O in silent mode again. They are forcing balls inside. Have not even tested the UVA goalie from range.
