You could see the experience down to the end of the game. Nobody seemed to panic. Syracusa just kept going after all his turnovers. Didn’t let it get to him. They’re gonna to have to play deep into the roster (Brennan, Stobaugh, etc.) to go all the way.

Hate to say this, but they will play UVA next. Then, if lucky, Notre Dame. They ain't winning this, but no other coach would get this team of misfits to the final 4. Tillman's best coaching job ever at Maryland, and that says a lot!

That’s what I said at midseason.

I even said 2 goals from a B1G championship was an epic coaching job.

These guys have been forced to “be the best” they can possibly be. A Tillman offense cannot withstand these dropped passes
The amazing thing is there was nothing great about Maryland in this game besides Wierman, and the defense after 20 minutes. Turnovers were horrendous. McNanay was a positive but not a game changer. Offense was bad for most of the game. Yet somehow Tillman figured a way to beat a team probably as talented as his 2022 GOAT squad.

and Koras turnovers and Kelly turnovers and McNaney dagger.....Great to see Maltz decide that he didn't want to end his career today. Also nice to see Stobaugh and King again, and Brennan with a huge goal. He really can be a difference maker for this team if he can get over whatever bogeyman has kept him from putting it on goal.

The most maligned Tillman team ever - from basically all of us! - the one that folks said didn’t even belong in the tournament, that came in looking as wounded as they ever have…..and the same result as it ever was.

McNaney, Wierman, Zaps. Forever.

Siracusa and Maltz - the forgotten man - with the two best games of their careers. Brennan with that goal at the end of the quarter. Stuff you’ll remember forever.

So many gritty ground balls down the stretch from the wings

Tills and co. put the Dino’s in a body bag

So many heroes you can laud, just a remarkable, remarkable win. What a program.

The key to the Terp win was that distracted hair who came out hard fast only to watch the Tortoise win the race. Slow and steady wins the race.

O'Neill, McAdorey & Zawada total: 3 goals and 1 assist. That's brilliant defensive scheming. Carc was fine overall, but it was funny that he kept harping on Zap's not taking O'Neill thing all day. Not sure he ever mentioned McAdorey (2nd team all american) and Zawada (HM all american) being completely irrelevant.

Tillman went after Zawaada (put his best pole on him) and O’Neill (put a large body on him and slid early). Basically dared MacAdorey and the middies to beat them. Keep up n mind Zawaada had 13 pts in 2 games vs Maryland State n a different system

What an unbelievable game and win. So many clutch moments from the Terps. Like Maltz shooting from distance for his last two goals. Spanos, who had been utterly dominated by Brower, riding hard and getting the ball back after a bad to in the 4th. Brennan’s third goal of the season. Erksa making magic. Koras’s second goal.

The defense was so, so good. But the MVP was unquestionably Wierman. Best faceoff guy in team history.

Congratulations to your program. Impressive win and the crowd sounded like a Terp crowd by far in your game.

I'm sure Duke scoring 4 goals in the last 37 minutes had something to do with the crowd noise (2 of them coming on random, turnover situations).

Jesse Bernhardt should be the 1st assistant to get a top coaching job this year.

Whittier had a great game. Brennan seeing one go in will do wonders. Murphy just seems unable to snap out of his funk.

But to get Whittier and Brennan confidence is important.

I still hope they run Erksa and Malever through the box because it makes the team its most athletic.

At least 10 of the team's turnovers were simple passing and catching errors. Totally crazy they won that gam.

Siracusa has been their most consistent offensive player all year. What a great story for that guy. And what else can you say about Wierman?

He, Ajax, Maltz, Koras, and McNaney refused to lose today.

Duke had 4 goal scorers today. That was it. The defense in the second half was unreal.

Wasn't Naso 2nd Team AA? And poor Luke...just HM AA.

20-29, 2g, 8gb.

Interesting about Koras. Until the end, I thought that was his worst game as a Terp. Some bad turnovers early while Duke keyed on him and their alpha poles dominated. Then the game settled down and Koras had some game-winning plays when it mattered. He's the perfect reflection of Tillman's coaching; be patient, weather the storm and attack when the inevitable opportunity arises.

There were maybe ten identifiable Duke fans in attendance. Maryland fans occupied an entire section plus I just sensed most indifferent Long Island fans rooted for Maryland.

The game changed at the Spanos ride back on the clear at 9-7. Brennan’s goal at the end to get it back to two was *huge*. When you’re within 2 with Wierman, you always got a shot.

But that Spanos ride back was massive. They just couldn’t get it to within one, had so many possessions, and then a bad turnover to start the quarter….but Spanos puts the effort in and they score on the next chance. It felt like the crowd realized at that point it was possible.

Duke then really started to press, Naso was trying to beat the whistle on every FO, they turned it over more. And Maryland just played with such confidence. This is a different team when they have confidence, you can see them play with it. It just takes a lot for it to happen.

Hope they can come out with the confidence and play loose next Saturday. But they’ll probably get behind and have to claw back again lol.

Omg…Murphy. Limping trying to chase down one of his turnovers. Is he injured?

Stobaugh has major nerves out there.

Terps got punched in the face and clawed back like a honey badger missing one leg. No matter what happens those kids always have that.
