That opinion would fluctuate quarter to quarter if you watched a lot of Duke this season. Duke O is very erratic, hold and coldkeno in reno wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2024 3:17 pm Not sure any Maryland offensive player would make Duke's rotation. Maybe Spanos

Maybe right….but parking Zawada also parks a defender. So strapping 34 with 1 opens up Dyson And Zawada. Will be interesting to see if first quarter/half was to figure out what was the game plan.jrn19 wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2024 3:19 pmZawada in this offense is a stationary target who never leaves X. If he dodged from all over the field, I'd get it; but he sits back there the whole game because that's the role he's prescribed in the offense. Everyone for Duke has a rigid role to fill. The offense blows up when O'Neill is attacking and everything else caves in. I'd much rather die by taking him out of the game and having them go flat like they often can do; then have him destroy meyouthathletics wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2024 3:16 pmpick your poison. I think tills knew they could slide if he gets under, but over the top he trusts his goalie.
I think that’s fine, but Terps are not sliding adjacent when 34 does get over the top.
As I type….just like goal 6 from duke

Agree , others UM defenders could cover and limit Zawada. Perhaps Oneill is considered too big and strong for a direct matchup but you find out rather than basically play 5 on 5 .
Re: QF #2 Duke vs #7 Maryland Saturday 2:30
The talent gap between these two team is pretty big. When one team's entire second midfield would start for the other team, you got a pretty big mismatch.

Dont understand why poles aren't playing down the line a bit on face-offs .Weirman is breaking downfield with every win . He is single handily keeping UM in game
Re: QF #2 Duke vs #7 Maryland Saturday 2:30
Maryland offense is saying hold my beer.. The amount of sloppy turnovers is staggering. If Maryland can just not play bad offense, they could have a chance
Re: QF #2 Duke vs #7 Maryland Saturday 2:30
10 turnovers to 1. I’d say it’s unreal, but unfortunately it’s not
Re: QF #2 Duke vs #7 Maryland Saturday 2:30
Despite all just a two goal deficit

Attacking with 30 seconds left. Murphy...

Have not enjoyed watching Maryland turn into late stage Desko Cuse and have younger, more talented freshmen collecting redshirts while loyal soldiers get a nice jog every week and nothing else.

Not great, but Naso is also lining up with his stick nearly touching the ball. Feel like the refs have given up on adjudicating the faceoff according to the rulebook

Do you know how many times his stick has been held, he's been pushed, smothered, hacked and tripped? A lot more than this one thing.youthathletics wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2024 3:44 pm 52 doing a bit of shenanigans. Watch his right hand…

What are the faceoff stats? They aren't posted on the Inside Lacrosse website.

Maryland is 8-2 this year when their assist-to-turnover-ratio is above 0.47. They are 1-3 with an offensive efficiency of 27% when it is below that mark.
1st half today: 0.25 assist-to-turnover ratio w/ a 25% efficiency

Duke bipolar O sputtering right now , sometimes look unreal as they did vs Cuse in 2nd game or inept as they did in first game

MD also started sliding earlier adjacently.

McNaney's clearing has been an abject disaster this year. Feel like it's gotta be related to his injury and not trusting his legs, leads to a lot of forced passes. I don't remember him like this before
