Re: World Soccer
A little drama added to final day of EPL
GK Emerson out for final game against West Ham and FA Cup final with eye socket fracture from game against Tottenham.
It may not make a difference, but still, you don’t want to see your GK out with title on the line.

The backup is a very able keeper -- which you might say about any of a number of positions in the City lineup. I am not seeing City lose to WHU tomorrow, and Everton might give the Gooners a run.ardilla secreta wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2024 6:08 pm A little drama added to final day of EPL

Re: World Soccer
Backup is able, but also not the starter for a reason. West Ham have looked horrible in some games (the home loss to Arsenal was I think by six goals), but the Hammers are quite capable of giving City a game. Still, if I had to bet, my money would be on the defending champions to repeat. Notable that Wolves are forcing a vote on VAR. https://www.theguardian.com/football/ar ... ier-league I hope that they scrap it.Seacoaster(1) wrote: ↑Sat May 18, 2024 10:25 amThe backup is a very able keeper -- which you might say about any of a number of positions in the City lineup. Re: World Soccer
Oh well, another suckass season of watching UAE moneybags win another title. When is the longest ever investigation of City going to be completed?
I really wish FIFA would adopt a NFL-like salary cap. The spending is getting out of hand and its effects the competitive balance of leagues.

Yes, the EPL is getting harder to love. Yet, tickets sell out faster than ever. Money, money, money.ardilla secreta wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 8:49 am Oh well, another suckass season of watching UAE moneybags win another title. When is the longest ever investigation of City going to be completed?
