Lol guys the first sentence before Bellarmine… Didn’t wanna sift through it longer than the 30 mins I already did. This is every player listed in the portal as of 5/16.
Hoping we get a clean up on it.

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, New Brunswick:
Austin Winship
Jacob Norgard
Patrick Palmer
Is it weird that Jacob Norgard was a former RU player on the team for 4 years from 19-23 and then was actually on staff this year in 24 as DOLO and now is putting in the portal?

Fellas, I remade the list and filtered it by date. The oldest portal entry is 2/1/2024. This list should be more accurate, but still could be missing names.

Anybody have insight into the transfer logistics/economics for West Point? Do they just push back their service requirement? Owe money back if they leave early? Just curious

Let's just say they didn't "voluntarily" enter the portal. So, I am not sure what will happen or the repercussions for them in this case.HockeyLaxGolf42 wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2024 10:20 am Anybody have insight into the transfer logistics/economics for West Point? If they leave before junior year no money owed, no service just leave.GaitsRightHand wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2024 10:24 amLet's just say they didn't "voluntarily" enter the portal. Late to the party, could someone confirm:
Last date to declare in the portal;
When the portal closes?

A fraudulent intent, however carefully concealed at the outset, will generally, in the end, betray itself.

Re: Transfer Portal 2025
It's nice to talk about transfers but some of these schools have massive backloads of kids they've recruited, developed, educated, trained, built relationships with and not played because of covid veterans and transfers. Hopkins has 3 jr/soph/frosh classes this year that have been almost completely blocked by the 15-20+srs/grad students and transfers who've played. You add in the freshmen coming in next year and none of those 4 classes having extra covid years anymore and you ask why it would just add kids who don't offer a whole lot more and won't be around as long as what it already has. They added a player at a position which will be decimated by graduation and is a lot harder to develop but from a Hopkins standpoint I'm not sure unless it's a star or guy from an area where they feel like the depth is going to be depleted it makes any sense whatsoever to just add another body.

Got 2020 back for Covid. RS Frosh in 2021. Sat out in 2022 at Army. Played at OSU in 2023 and 2024. After looking at this... 3 full seasons. Did he lose a year sitting out in 2022 or does he have another year?

Hudgins played for Army in 2019 and 2021. He withdrew for 2022 so he could use a RS year and then played at OSU in 2022 and 2023. He's out of eligibility.GaitsRightHand wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2024 12:52 pmTechnically transferred in as a Jr.youthathletics wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2024 11:19 amWasn't he senior at the time of departure in 22'?GaitsRightHand wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2024 10:46 amThat's what I thought with the pole at OSU. Re: Transfer Portal 2025
Exactly my point in earlier posts. In addition schools in the Ivy League and the patriot league who could not have fifth year transfers on their team put them both at a huge disadvantage. That disadvantage will end this year. I’m looking forward to seeing how the IV and the patriots Play next year without teams having fifth year transfers playing against themjhu06 wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2024 11:20 am It's nice to talk about transfers but some of these schools have massive backloads of kids they've recruited, developed, educated, trained, built relationships with and not played because of covid veterans and transfers. Oops, IL & OSU had him listed as only playing 2020 and 2021 at Army, and still at Army in 2022... my b. Should've went to Army's. I also see he got drafted so pretty bad info here.JeremyCuse wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2024 1:04 pmHudgins played for Army in 2019 and 2021. I have heard of a very recognizable name threatening to hit the portal, if he doesnt get more NIL. I am not going to say the name, but something I wasnt really expecting to see in lacrosse. PLL makes 50-80K. What should college player get?
[/quote]
In 2022 PLL rookies signed 3 year contracts for $25K/year, and it was a pro rata share based on actually playing, not just being on the 25 man roster. Rank and file players don't make much.
