No one wouuld ever like make a threat or anything but most people know Hobart fans are generally schizo maniacs. So it would be a shame if any coach talked to Patterson. Hope they understand that some fans can't be controlled. For everyones health...HopFan16 wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2024 9:56 am Brown: Connor Theriault (G), Colin Hart (D)

IMO, the transfers did exactly what they were supposed to do - they lost a lot (Zawada +) and didnt have a ton of guys make the next leap forward. Thus a similar season.GaitsRightHand wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 10:08 amCathal Roberts was arguably the most important pole on the team this year. Just took a second to figure out how to use him. Tiernan lived up to the expectations and then some- 57 goals is a monster year (11 more goals than he had his last year at Lehigh).coda wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 9:57 amThey really need some midfield dodging and dodging in general. I loved the work Beau did, but overall the transfers didnt really seem to make Michigan much different. Defensive communication issues persisted. Turnovers persisted. The attack was worse, obviously missing Zawaada. When you add a guy like Tiernan (who was great in his role), you better have multiple dodgers around him or things can get stagnant.GaitsRightHand wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 9:44 am Was talking to a buddy and apparently Michigan already has 5 transfers. 2 Princeton kids and a D3 transfer. You're 100% right on the dodging woes... They need speed dodgers. They have some bigger guys who can muscle their match-ups. But they don't have any "blow past you" speed. Outside of Cohen, probably.
Also, in my opinion (maybe an unpopular opinion) Cohen > Boehm.
Michigan needs big middies - like the one that ran thru their sizable D last weekend - and multiple guys (anyone?) that can beat their man consistently? A big attackman that can move (not crease guy) would also be helpful. When your primary goal scorer is a crease guy - even a very good one - your offense will be stagnant. Lehigh 2023 wasnt exactly Maryland of years past either.
As for the D, they did lose two starters on D for the season at the start of the year (SSDM and LSM) - that surely didn't help as they were trying get used to transfers too.
Yes, the pick play has been bad - shouldnt this be drilled until its....not bad?
Roberts was a great pick up. Would argue Whitney at close was underappreciated.
And yes, the opinion that Cohen > Boehm is not popular.

Trucksess went to Haverford. Was 56-100 with 35 GBs in 2023. 52-95 with 29 GBs this season. Junior.
Dunn has been 53-124 with 35 GBs so far.

Yes but you trade internal development minutes for maintaining at a certain level. If you don’t get close to that expectation when taking in a few ringers then it’s a bad trade. For mich it was worth it IMO: second BigTen AQ and playoff appearance probably does a ton for the program and staff in this specific situation. Same w GTown after a dark period they needed to resestabkish. I’m less certain in the BigTen and ACC schools that aren’t sure thing lock FF or title contenders and they aren’t all every years. But those schools don’t agree so far and grabbed everything they could.Young Warrior wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 4:35 pmIMO, the transfers did exactly what they were supposed to do - they lost a lot (Zawada +) and didnt have a ton of guys make the next leap forward. If you’re playing in the TO I could see where it makes sense to have the mentality of a blocker at a hot club. Can never have too many ladies (SSdM, FOGO, goalie) but if your a dude you best have a lot of money and power to get in (superfluous addl offensive support of close D men). Only if they really make a difference.DocBarrister wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 6:51 pmEveryone seems to be in the market for SSDMs.Typical Lax Dad wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 6:22 pmWeathington and Juengerkes were out the whole year pretty much. PLL doesn't pay enough. Pretty sure all the athletes at the ivies and top privates (Duke, Hopkins) will do something far more lucrative like finance in addition to PLL.Typical Lax Dad wrote: ↑Tue May 14, 2024 7:47 pmMonfort is excellent.
