South Side 7
Manhasset 5
Flurry of late goals.
Varsity Media Pass did stream it. Bare bones production. It was plain to me that the announcer, who was flying solo, was not on site as he had difficulty picking up a lot of things. This must be what they mean by Varsity Media “mini cast”. Nevertheless I was grateful that they covered it.
Notable that Mondiello and Zacharia were not there for the (for the time being) Indians.
South Side would lock up the #1 seed if they can beat Massapequa Friday.
Then, if form holds, GC and Manhasset would meet in a semi for the, right to play SS.

Ss was missing one of their attack man too South side fogo lost 2 faceoffs offensively both teams were sloppy I tho both goalies made some great saves should be interesting in playoffs and I think south side will prob play Calhoun in semisfordmaddoxford wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 8:54 pm South Side 7

Every team has injuries this time of year. The best rosters overcome them. They are just excuses for losingKlaxman wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 9:07 pmSs was missing one of their attack man too South side fogo lost 2 faceoffs offensively both teams were sloppy I tho both goalies made some great saves should be interesting in playoffs and I think south side will prob play Calhoun in semisfordmaddoxford wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 8:54 pm South Side 7

Re: Long Island 2024
Is this the first time South Side has beaten Manhasset and GC in the same season?

Yes. Prior to this year, in 33 total meetings, South Side’s only victory over Garden City was in 2008. Manhasset beat South Side that year 14-13. Ironically GC and South Side played every year from 2000 to 2014 (sometimes more than once) with the sole exception of 2004. 2004 was the year that South Side won its lone State Championship.

South Side up 10-3 on Pequa early 4th. Win wraps up the power league title and the 1 seed in Nassau B.
Re: Long Island 2024
A dynasty is emerging in the SS/RVC lacrosse program. The JV knocked off MSS and GC. Impressive and a portent of things to come? Their varsity goalie was outstanding against GC. He made thirteen saves. If he plays with consistency, SS/RVC is going to be a tough out in the playoffs.Klaxman wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2024 10:19 amSouth side Jv team beat manhasset and gc this year toofordmaddoxford wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2024 8:28 am Yes. SS/RVC beat Massapequa today. Massapequa's goalie had fourteen saves. Again, an impressive performance.

Almost impossible for any team on the Island to beat them. Nobody but Cham gets a chance anymore anyway and the Flyers aren't looking close to doing itJoeMauer89 wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2024 2:49 pm St Anthony's 10 Haverford School 7 Final
