Re: CAA 2024
Robinson howitzer ties it, just over 1 left.
Re: CAA 2024
Turnover caused by Hens, they've got it with 36 tics left.

Re: CAA 2024
Hens go right to Michael Robinson
swims by his guy and past the goalie for the win.

Re: CAA 2024
No patience from Fairfield at the end of the game. Felt like they rushed clearing at the end
Re: CAA 2024
Fairfield needs a Michael Robinson, a Nick DeMaio,
Robinson ties it with a howitzer from 2 point range with under a minute to go,
then Hens go right to Robinson on the 1st possession, and he cruises right by his man, goalie didn't have a chance,
superior talent.

Re: CAA 2024
And cover JP Ward, the CAA first teamer and primary initiator. And deal with the inverts and sweeps. Easy!
Re: CAA 2024
I recall when Hens 1st recruited Robinson, a big get for the Hens - though IL, the "Raters", did not exactly hold him in all that high a regard which was weird to me. Especially since some tremendous players had come out of Culver, Joel Tinney. Look at that class, a very good class, I mean Skyler Wilson?! - who actually I liked a lot coming out of Canada - was rated higher.
Robinson has done much better than, well really, most of those top 20 (5 star) players from that 2019 class. That is the Shellenberger class.
184 goals and counting for Michael Robinson puts him among the top 20 all time in Division I.
Maybe the best of that threesome of Robinson, Owen Grant and Tye Kurtz. A lot of lot of talent there, much much more talent than most people (or really, just about everyone) realize.

Yeah I don’t get that one, but both him & Ward are v good
Re: CAA 2024
The Hens makeshift defense was discombobulated the whole night yesterday. Not sure anyone else noticed, but the Hens played without their #2 LSM Patrick Gillin last night. They have been without their #1 LSM Joe Speers for four weeks now (out of the year). Not sure what happened to Gillin, but I believe he finished the game against Towson last week. Ugh.
Every team has injuries, but the Hens are keeping it together with duct tape at this point. Back ups Donny Gayhardt, Rowan Marsell (converted SSDM) and Nick Cowen played LSM last night. They will have to get better as a unit to give the Tigers a game Saturday.

Delaware will also need a good recovery day today. From the box score, they played 23 guys (Fairfield played 22). It was the first really warm game, too. Several Stags got treatment on sidelines mid-game. I didn't notice it on the Delaware sideline/sub box, but guys will enter Saturday's game feeling "not so fresh".Henpecked wrote: ↑Fri May 03, 2024 6:51 am The Hens makeshift defense was discombobulated the whole night yesterday.
