America East 2024

Post by gymman1031 »

Is this another conference in which at least three teams are capable of winning it this year?

Merrimack just beat Bryant. If Albany beats Binghamton, does Merrimack make the AE Tournament.

Think umbc would get the 4th seed.

They might. However, according to Merrimack Lacrosse's Twitter page, they are in.

Time and again, Scott Marr and his program are some of the best this sport has to offer. What an incredible win for them. Scott does it right. Good luck in the tourney!

Marr paid a bit of a price for the path he chose to recruit year’s back - it paid off, they reached a Final Four. But he paid a price for that, for pursuing the Hopkins job (maybe, probably).
But it looks to me like Marr recommitted and he is getting top recruits back to Albany - Silas Richmond being the most obvious top recruit.

I am speaking more about his appreciation for the medicine game, the culture of indigenous people and the connection to the sport, playing and coaching the sport the way it was meant to be played (free flowing, not as position specific-ie Peseno).

Also, tough to dog him too much about the pursuit of the Hopkins job. It’s his alma mater. I am sure even the Albany folks understood that.
