ASUN 2024

Post by gymman1031 »

Here are some questions:

1. Will Utah repeat as conference champions?
2. Will Air Force win their first ASUN title?
3. Will Jacksonville get the conference title and NCAA Tournament monkeys off their backs?
4. Will Bellarmine take another huge step and get their first conference tournament and postseason appearance?

He’ll have to beat out the five transfer fogo’s that Galloway will take between now and when the kid graduates.

Any thoughts on what happens to this conference after the spring season? It looks they will be down to 6 teams

I am not sure but given what happened in football this year I guess anything could happen. I think if you created a "Big West" division of the Big East that might be cool. Imagine a Denver, Marq, AF, Utah, Bellarmine, CSU west v. Villanova, G-Town, SJU, Prov. add JAX, Mercer call it the Big 12

I really enjoy watching some of the lesser known teams play. With crazy high travel costs, I just don’t know how the Jax, Mercer, Queens, Bellarmine’s of the world make it. Maybe a conference with some financial backing like the Big East might be the solution. I’d hate to see more programs go by the way of Lindenwood. Those schools fielding a competitive team is gold for the game.

Any predictions as to who wins the conference?

Does Utah repeat?

Do either Jacksonville or Bellarmine win their first conference title and appear in their first postseason? That would also be the first time a DI program from either state would be in the NCAA Tournament.

Does Air Force get their first conference title and first NCAA Tournament bid under Coach Bill Wilson?

Just confirmed the tiebreakers. Should be a great stretch run for the bye and seedings.

1) Head to Head
2) RPI

Jax finally figured out they'll need to ride Greiner and Intrieri.

Sort of ASUN related. Uh oh, I would not be surprised to see lax go at Cleveland State. It was the pet project of the last AD. Moving to the NEC may help reduce cost but could be that all scholarships are gone and run like a D3 model as a tuition play.
