I think an assist should be given to the person who passed the ball to a player who then gets a Free Position Shot and scores.

Thoughts on this?

I love it. I think lacrosse should be more liberal awarding assists. I would like to see 2 assists for every goal like hockey but could live with one on every goal. Tells the story about who is making plays and takes the subjectivity out of when to award an apple.

The game has an officiating crisis, plain and simple.

That simultaneous whistle in the Maryland game is borderline criminal. Penn got hosed plain and simple. It is getting old seeing major things getting messed up.

I said this years ago when I first came around to wlax. Girl throws a sweet pass, the receiver of it can't take the shot because of dangerous shot/shooting space, she goes to the arc and puts in the FPS. Passer absolutely gets screwed out of an assist on that play. I definitely think they should get the assist on it.

Maryland just can’t get any shots off. If they get more shots off they’re up by 3 instead of down by 3. UMD sloppy again on offense as I’m typing this. Sophie Halus has impressed my today.

If they win, they will be!!! Their rpi is at 5 and will go up if they win. They could easily be a top 4-8 seed come tournament time if they take care of business in the Ivy League…..

Really surprised the Penn player took that quick shot with 40 or 45 seconds to go to give the ball back to the Terps. Little mental errors like that sometimes tell in the end. Alas, Maryland didn't score so still 10-7. A good 4th ahead.
