Anyone have any info about ticketing for the East Hartford Quarters? Are they holding empty sections of the stadium or, as it appears online, is it close to sold out. They are listing single tickets only for any but two corner sections, the vast majority of the stadium simply says 'no seats'. Thanks for any insights.

I'm very surprised by the hate Garnsey is getting from Kyle Hartzell and Rob Pannell on Twitter. What's not to understand about the situation? The kid worked his but off, stayed positive, stayed in shape, practiced with the team every day, and got his grades in order. This is a comeback story that should be celebrated. My lord, I learned something from watching the kid, the spirit moved me watching him play and support his team this weekend. THIS IS SPORTS.

I swear, these PLL guys couldn't be any goofier. There are very few lacrosse players I actually want to watch play professionally, Garnsey is one of them. The rest of those guys I like watching, well, I hope they go on to have fulfilling careers outside of professional lacrosse and contribute to society in that way. PLL is about as cringe worthy as they come.

Sounds wrong. Unlikely Hartford gets a big advance ticket sale. Rent is large and they may well cut off one side. Quarters don't get over 15,000 and maybe as low as 5,000. I've gone to many quarters and I believe most times tickets were General Admission. One way or the other, just buy some seats and you will be able to sit where you want. Go PIOS!!

ya.
pannell - loved watching him play. didn't he work around ivy rules somehow, get a redshirt after a mid-season injury, and extend the ivy 4 to play 4 into 5 to play 4 by dropping out of school @ the last minute? and then take the pt of the next attackman so he could grab a final year again? what did he tell that guy if he has such a problem with it? (i didn't in his situation and don't now).
the rules, say you're ineligible for the semester. not the season. lacrosse so happens to be within one semester, and playoffs extend beyond it. in basketball, a player would miss 5-8 games. as a proponent of "student-athlete", via a guy who got his house in order after a mistake, his one year prohibition seems arbitrary.

his take is "goofy", as you say. teammates seem to be behind him.

Agree about Garnsey. Pannell was completely wrong about this on Twitter.

No and no. Pannell's injury occurred during the 2nd game of the season, and he did not play again that year. He did not drop out of school, but due to extensive time lost to surgery and recovery, did not complete all degree requirements. He returned to school the following year to complete his degree. He petitioned the Ivy League for a fifth-year eligibility waiver, and it was granted by Executive Director Robin Harris (a Duke and Duke Law grad whose office is in Princeton). Everything was done according to Ivy League rules and procedures that were in place long before.

Just as Pannell played by the rules, so did Garnsey. (And I’m not a ND fan.) Pannell’s mini-Twitter rant comes across as a little churlish from a guy who got a huge break by getting a functional medical redshirt from a league that doesn’t technically grant them.

that's what i meant by midseason. i expected it was less than 30% of games.
so you can medical redshirt in the ivy? as long as you don't finish classes for a semester (or 2).
also, 4 to play 4 isn't the rule for other sabbaticals, ya?

Or karma evening out things? The clear foot on the crease should have negated a first half Maryland goal (if there was instant replay). And the clear pipe non-goal should have not counted (if there was instant replay). Net result - each team got a goal that should not have counted. Am I not seeing that right?

Bingo. Announcers were right that the UVA goal call was more inexcusable, but ultimately there is no difference. Each team got a goal that they shouldn't have. Slate is clean.

The referee who called that tying UVA goal that clearly hit the goal post should never be allowed to ref another college lacrosse game ever! I’m not a Terp fan but I am a huge fan of lacrosse and we should not just say oh well he got it wrong but instead demand the integrity of the sport is held to higher standard ! A petition phone calls or whatever it takes ! Tat guy has no right making calls in a college lacrosse game ever again !

That may have been. But Tillman lost this game, not that call. His stall ball with 5-6 minutes to go was the complete stupidity. MD was going toe to toe with Va and winning battles.

Va is too explosive to think about stalling with that much time. Bad Coaching.

I would have thought Tillman would have learned from the game against Towson.
Nadelen took the air out at the end, and lost.

What happened? Streaming locked up, thought MD won the game.
