Games Today
Re: Games Today
Gonna be funny when they have Belle still listed as the Tewaaraton watch.
Re: Games Today
Quite a number of HS wlaxers with their coaches there to see the incredible exhibition of wlax the Cuse girls put on (no disrespect to UNC intended) in there. Not sure if I've ever seen more pair of yoga pants in one place, asked my buddy if he thought they might be the number one selling item on the planet. If there's a benefit to living in Cuse, the Dome is one of them and particularly so for lacrosse fans (I only go there for lacrosse). The environment in the Dome is second to none and as noted, it don't rain, it don't snow, the wind don't blow, aint no sun in your eyes, (that's not a worry outdoors much in Cuse either though) and they sell beer there too. February lacrosse, no problem. I tell a lot of young wlaxer parents they need to get their girls to the Dome to see the caliber lacrosse you can see in there. 4K shouldn't be a big attendance number.tothedraw wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 5:28 pmAwesome, temp controlled place to watch a game and both teams have several players from sections 3-5. Who generally draws the most year-year?DMac wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 8:17 am How much of the Cuse-UNC game did you watch yesterday McLax?
JFTR, but for a shaky 1st qtr v NU on opening day, Cuse beats NU.
Beat 'em13-10 for the last 3 qtrs. Not bad for a not so good team, eh?
The exhibition they put on yesterday ranks among the best I've ever
seen by any team. They gave the record crowd in the Dome a real treat.
Well, 'cept for the folks dressed in powder blue, I guess.
Good crowds coming out this year, Cuse is generally at, or near, the top in attendance both in M and W lax.
Gotta love those Cuse fans.

Dartmouth up 14-11 over USC with 5 minutes to go
Re: Games Today
The Ivy League (except Penn) highly underrated at the beginning of the season as opposed to overrated teams such as Army, Clemson, USC, Penn State, UConn, UMass, Duke, and Albany.
Re: Games Today
No. She’s just had a really tough year. .327 save percentage and got pulled last game against UC Davis after giving up 10 goals on 12 shots in 43 mins.

Re: Games Today
I am happy that the Ivies are playing well enough to be back in the conversation and competitive. Pretty remarkable, given the 2-year hiatus.
The win over USC yesterday was Dartmouth's first win against a ranked opponent since March 2020, when the #15 Big Green knocked off #5 Florida within the friendly confines of Scully Fahey Field. A good day for the kids.

It’s a nice win for Dartmouth. It’s good for the Ivies that the Big Green are getting better.watcherinthewoods wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2024 8:05 amI am happy that the Ivies are playing well enough to be back in the conversation and competitive. Pretty remarkable, given the 2-year hiatus.

Cool detail on Big Green's win over USC
Dartmouth was down by 6 before they dumped a scoring avalanche on the Women of Troy, scoring 8 consecutive goals and 14 of the final 17.

Re: Games Today
The USC story on the game referred to Dartmouth throughout as the "Minutewomen". SMH.
Re: Games Today
I see a trio of freshman Minutewomen, O'keeffe, Burdick, and Puccio all scored one. Nice!

Hosting Yale Saturday. Think BG takes it?watcherinthewoods wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2024 12:04 pm Big Green is surprisingly young, especially since so many contributors from 2023 are back ... freshman and sophomores. The kids are alright!
