Coming right after that poor showing against Penn State, I can understand any lack of confidence a Big Red fanatic might have. My guess is that Cornell bounces back and competes well; still, Princeton at home is a tought ask.
Good luck to the Big Red!

Re: Cornell 2024
The geniuses behind the mikes finally finally figured out that Matt Tully is in goal. There is a subtle difference between #19 and #55. Meanwhile, Carc continues to love the sound of his voice. He actually said "Cornell has one of the best fanbases if not one of the best fanbases." LOL!

Awww c'mon. Don't you like when guys are hacking each other fighting for possession midfield while he goes on about players who are now playing at other schools?!?!laxfan1313 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 2:35 pm The geniuses behind the mikes finally finally figured out that Matt Tully is in goal. In his defense, that's not exactly what he said. He said: "Cornell has one of the best fanbases and if not one of the best fanbases then the best fanbase..."laxfan1313 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 2:35 pm He actually said "Cornell has one of the best fanbases if not one of the best fanbases." LOL!
Awkward and wordy (and a bit confusing) but I give some allowance for announcing live.
I'm just glad they got the sound synced up. For the last half of the 1st quarter the announcers were about 4 seconds ahead of the action on the screen.
Re: Cornell 2024
Great to see Goldstein (son) playing for Cornell.
Re: Cornell 2024
Whew! Stressful game! Thank goodness Cornell stopped the massive Princeton run (10 straight goals, I think). Possessions and faceoffs are a problem.
Re: Cornell 2024
Three freshman on offense on many possessions: Tully, Nikolic, Goldstein. Side note: Carc is having a love fest for Goldstein. :-)
Did I see Blake playing D middie? Or did he just get trapped on defense?

I think Blake is playing SSDM

Wow!
What a game and what a finish. Outstanding performance today. And the emergence of Goldstein is just huge.

Thank you Matt Dooley! #88 comes through! 15-14 final!
Re: Cornell 2024
Gotta give Buczek a lot of credit for coming out in a zone, threw Princeton off.
Worked like a charm.

Holy Crap. I need a DOUBLE TANGERAUY G AND T, after that game.
The FRESHMAN were incredible, and kudos to our coaching staff for having all the confidence in these kids.
Such a HUGE win, with YALE coming to the Kopf next week.
Just when I said my confidence in winning this game was low, they come out on fire, have a lull and then storm back like Champs.
1-0 in the Ivies is all that matters right now.

Now I have to study up on Matt Dooley.
Why was he even on the field, the zone ?

Huge respect for a guy willing to do whatever it takes to help the team! Love that.faircornell wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 4:27 pmI noticed that as well.. he was huddling with the defense during the breaks.
On that note, I saw Cascadden on the sideline at the end of the game cheering for his teammates. I love seeing a guy who can’t play that is so engaged, positive and supportive!
