ESPN+ memory leak
WFT is going on with the ESPN+ browser stream? It consumed an order of magnitude more memory than say, Lacrosse TV.

Did a little search. Known issue. More bad code from a crappy company.
Might have to cancel sub.

Some good news. The VU stats reporting is excellent.

Never had an issue with ESPN+. Are you using on phone or the app on smart tv?
A fraudulent intent, however carefully concealed at the outset, will generally, in the end, betray itself.

Issue is widespread across many browsers and OS.
How much does it start out in your case, amd how much after 1 hr? 2 hr? 3 hr?

I’m watching on my smart tv and the feed keeps repeating and then fast forwarding back to live action. Have two smart TVs and it only happens on one of the two. Just crazy.

I think you don't know much about memory leaks, browsers, Java, and garbage collection.youthathletics wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 5:05 pm I think pizzasnake watches too much porn and his electronic devices are riddled with spam and virus
The issue is with running Chrome OS and accessing ESPN+ via browser. Watching in performance mode (task manager), the memory starts at about 150K, and quickly increases until it consumes all of the memory available, at which point Chrome will terminate to reclaim the memory.
So, two things: ESPN code sux, and Chrome OS sux.
When I watch on a Samsung "smart" TV, there don't appear to be any issues.

Interesting stories you construct to help make sense of "your" world. You know you'll never escape the solitary confinement of your mind, right? No matter how hard you try. You grok?youthathletics wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 5:49 pmI know plenty about that stuff….it’s why I said you have too much smut running behind the scenes….chipping away at your memory.PizzaSnake wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 5:45 pmI think you don't know much about memory leaks, browsers, Java, and garbage collection.youthathletics wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 5:05 pm I think pizzasnake watches too much porn and his electronic devices are riddled with spam and virus
