Re: NESCAC
Are you talking about the Jumbos or RPI comeback against Middlebury?

Well - the next test is RIT. That should be a great game to watch.

Re: NESCAC
RPI. That was something.
They never were. Just a bunch of hype and avoiding tough OOC. When they can’t duck tough OOC they fold like a cheap suit.
Been discussed on here for weeks. Middlebury avoids tough OOC competition. They probably wouldn’t have even played RPI if they had known they would be so strong these past 2 years.TucoBPJMRamirez wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2024 4:39 pm … Midd continues to give full-game minutes to an attack that opponents shut down with a short stick. Something extremely odd going on up there ... that team isn't coached for success outside the NESCAC.

Thanks for this "quality insight" choochoo. Thoughts on how wrong your CNU by 6 prediction was?choochooCharlie wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2024 8:33 pmRPI. That was something.

Re: NESCAC
You'd think that after RIT in 2022 (17-6 before RITs bench cleared) Bowdoin would have made changes; at least for 2024 and beyond.choochooCharlie wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2024 8:33 pmRPI. That was something.

No doubt they can run with and knock off Tufts.
But would not be surprised if the OOC schedule catches up with them in May; in the NESCAC and/or NCAA Tournament.

If you listen closely, you can hear the sound of another pointless troll getting added to the block list.
Re: NESCAC
You have proven yourself to be a complete Jackwagon!!!!! Hahaha!! Read this the other day and was going to say, I'll make the book and take all action...got busy and didn't revisit till now after game. Anyway, quick summation, there was a serious difference in size, speed and athleticism tonight. CNU is a very, very talented team. They travelled a long way to play a road game, that's not easy. That said, they were beaten in every facet of the game, hands down. Signature win for the Jumbos...now lets get realistic, its March 6th. Enjoy the win and get back to work. CNU will definitely learn from this game and will prolly be in the Natty semi game if you aks me. They're good, very good. Nice win Bos.
Re: NESCAC
Quite possible.....time will tell!!! hahaha
Re: NESCAC
HAH!!!!!
Re: NESCAC
Wrong on both fronts huh?!?!! Karma......oh well....VTextrasharpcheddarr wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2024 10:31 am Picks for today's slate:
Hamilton over Utica
Midd over RPI
Colby over UNE
Bates over Keene
Wesleyan over Salve
Bowdoin over WNE
Williams over Union
Trin over Skidmore
Amherst over Springfield
CNU over Tufts
'Cac goes 9-1 on the day. Tufts/CNU game will be tight. CNU edges them out on Bello. Midd rolls at home.
Anyone else remember the RPI coaching staff calling for a stick check on the Midd fogo last year? Karma.
Re: NESCAC
At first I thought you were making excuses for CNU but you finally hit the nail on the head, Tufts was big, fast, strong and physical tonight. Also, smart, which is something they've been accused of not being in the recent past...perhaps justified...anyway, Jumbos look like a complete, well rounded squad...dare I say, beast!!!aroundtheoutside wrote: ↑Wed Mar 06, 2024 6:55 pmTerrible shooting and sloppy turnovers on CNU's part are killing them. But both starting goalie and fogo playing terrible mean this one is over. Tufts playing a fast, physical brand!

Rough mid-week picks from my post.
Went against the LL tonight and got burned.
Plenty of LL v NESCAC matchups left - but LL is off and running with resume builders.

Re: NESCAC
Bowdoin doesn't play a very good OOC schedule, but this conversation just happened last year, when one of the more ignorant users on this site argued that Cabrini was a great OOC opponent because of their brand but Babson (a ranked team that comfortably handled Williams in the NCAA tourney) didn't count as a good OOC opponent because their brand wasn't good enough. Fun times. I do agree that Bowdoin's OOC is generally blah/the worst of the top NESCAC teams, though I probably disagree about how much that matters because I'm not sure it's possible to make the NCAA tournament out of the NESCAC and be unprepared for the postseason.
As for Middlebury...people who try to lecture about them dUcKinG tOuGh OOC just don't know anything about D-III lacrosse.

- 2023 OOC: RPI, Union, St. Lawrence, Babson

- 2020-21: COVID
- 2019: St. Lawrence, Dickinson, Union
- 2018: St. Lawrence, Denison, Springfield (back when they made the tournament every year)
- 2017: St. Lawrence, RIT, Springfield
- 2016: St. Lawrence, RIT, Springfield, Endicott
- 2015: St. Lawrence, RIT, Endicott (16-4, #9 team in the country)
