Did anyone get an update on the scrimmages that happened this weekend?

Re: NCAC 2024
Based on other Instagram photos Kenyon Scrimmaged Trine, Oberlin scrimmaged Baldwin Wallace, and Wooster scrimmaged Muskingham. I have not seen anything else though.
Re: NCAC 2024
Kenyon and Trine played 5 quarters. Kenyon won 4. One of them by quite a bit. Other 3 were a couple of goal difference. 5th was a tie with running clock and a lot of Kenyon subs. Kenyon's O outmatched Trine's D. Trine's O mostly held its own when it had the ball. I think faceoffs were closer than expected .berryjames wrote: ↑Sun Feb 04, 2024 3:42 pm Based on other Instagram photos Kenyon Scrimmaged Trine, Oberlin scrimmaged Baldwin Wallace, and Wooster scrimmaged Muskingham. OWU scrimmaged Centre on Saturday. Heard the game ended in 11-11 tie and both teams subbed a lot.

Re: NCAC 2024
Denison seems to like hosting highly-ranked foes on cold, windy days in Granville. Last year they upset #2 Gettysburg 10-9 in a frosty early season game. This year, Denison may get a little boost from playing the first game ever in their remarkable new lacrosse stadium.oldtimelax wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2024 3:09 pm Six of the NCAC teams open on Saturday, February 17th....RIT-Denison is the Game of the Week, followed by OWU-Grove City and Transy-Kenyon

Re: NCAC 2024
Nobody expects Denison to win this game, in fact on other threads most opine they expect them to get “rolled”. That’s the perfect headspace! Treat this as a chance to measure yourself against a powerhouse. Go have some fun, play hard for each other and the program and enjoy the moment! The Big Red have surprised plenty of opponents before. So roll the ball out and see what happens! Can Opener wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2024 5:41 pmDenison seems to like hosting highly-ranked foes on cold, windy days in Granville. Re: NCAC 2024
Ned....I saw somewhere on this site somebody said Denison +11. I believe it will be much closer than that! Go Denison....let's hope these men represent their schools and the conference with a great skill and effort. Ohio college lacrosse plays tough and will play you hard 60 minutes....
Re: NCAC 2024
Hi Old … thanks for the good wishes. We’ll need all the good karma we can get because RIT is a top flight team that brings much more experience then Denison with loads of post graduate 5th years and grad transfers from what I gather. Hey we got nothing to lose and I hope/expect the Big Red keep it respectable. I’m anxious to see if any of the FYs jump off the page .. I’ve heard good things.
Best of luck to the Bishops this year as well. Denison (and the NCAC) is better off when OWU is putting out the high caliber team we’ve come to respect all these years.

Re: NCAC 2024
Since this is a NCAC thread, I’ll let the Denison faithful who observed the game offer in-depth analysis. Simply put, it was the first game for both teams on a brutal afternoon weather wise in Ohio. RIT returns nine out of ten of their top scorers from last year and picked up a 1st team LL grad transfer from Ithaca. They just have so many weapons it’s a real tough matchup. Fisher for Denison seemed like their only option offensively. Another addition for the Tigers was a grad transfer from D1 Merrimack (5’9”, 200) who was a State wrestling champion in HS. He’s a stud and got possession on the majority of FO’s before he was pulled in first half. All in all, these teams are miles apart at this juncture and it showed on the scoreboard. Of course, it’s a long season and a lot of things can change. It’s one game. Forget about it and build for May. Good luck to the Big Red.

Interesting weekend for the NCAC going 2-4oldtimelax wrote: ↑Fri Feb 16, 2024 3:09 pm Six of the NCAC teams open on Saturday, February 17th....RIT-Denison is the Game of the Week, followed by OWU-Grove City and Transy-Kenyon

OWU @ Grove City 3:00 P.M.
Muskingum @ Wabash 5:00 P.M.
Oberlin (1-0) beat Chatham after only leading by 1 going into the 4th quarter. They end up winning the game by 7.
RIT killed Denison (0-1), not particularly close the entire game. 13-2 at halftime.
Kenyon(1-0) dominated Transylvania. Kenyon's defense only gave up 1 goal per quarter.
Depauw(0-1) lost a defensive slugfest 5-2.
OWU(0-1) lost to a talented Grove City team. OWU had a slow start and almost made the comeback in the 4th quarter.
Wabash(1-1) lost to a not-great OAC Muskingum team by 5.

Re: NCAC 2024
Looking at the stats from Denison's three goal victory over Albion....they dominated in all the key areas -- face-offs, ground balls, shots....but it looks like they have a goalie problem. Albert didn't look good against RIT either, but you could give him a hall pass on that game. Could be a big problem with the out-of-conference schedule they have coming up. Do they have anyone else waiting in the wings?
