Gotta say, biggest takeaway from me so far is that this new green card rule is brutal. Not a chance it could ever be consistently implemented at lower levels if D1 refs can’t be consistent, and refs who follow the letter of the law can end up issuing at least a dozen green cards over the game. Way too many stoppages.

it's still very very early, but the GBs in this JMU/UNC game are driving me nuts already

Duke gets the players they want and they are plenty talented enough. My take is it’s development and coaching related. Other option is, Duke is the school where the parents that harp about “best academic program” send their kids to, with the kids no longer caring about playing. From a few former players I’ve met, it may also have to do with the culture. I don’t think they’ve put into fixing that yet.

Based on LaxDadMax’s suggestion that Delaware has a great zone, I’m now watching that game. Thankful my wife has left for the morning so she won’t get mad, since lacrosse was on from about 2 until 9:30 last night.
North left Duke to go to BC because she felt Duke was not "serious" enough about lacrosse. That sums up what you are saying ^^

Kind of ridiculous that UNC vs JMU game on ESPN+ does not even have a scoreboard or clock on the screen.

Three assists by AH already.

Edit: Make that four.

And a goal. Shame the announcers called her Alyssa Long, twice.

JMU is tough. UNC's defense will have to be better but AH really gives that offense a different dynamic. 5 points in the first half. She has a good chance of winning the Tewaaraton with around 130 points with 90 being assists

NU starting quickly against Syracuse. Up 4-1 midway through the first.

It’s crazy a team can get the pre season injuries they got with three excellent players and still be able to compete.
