I think Loyola is a live dog at +4. Not sold on Georgetown thsi yr especially early in season they lost a lot. Will take some time to get it together.

+1

Curious how these posts on gambling appear on a Men's D1 Lax site...

"Five years into the widespread legalization of sports betting, we’re at an inflection point. While the reason behind the bipartisan effort to legalize it is clear (hello, money), it doesn’t come without a cost: As sports betting becomes more and more accessible, the number of people who are likely to develop a gambling addiction will continue to increase. The NCPG estimated that the risk for a gambling addiction rose by 30 percent between 2018 and 2021, particularly among men ages 18 to 24. Men are more likely to have a gambling problem than women, and sports bettors are much higher-intensity gamblers overall, with live in-game betting being associated with greater levels of impulsivity."

Maybe because it's fun? People can gamble wagers that they can afford to lose and it not be a problem. Not everyone has an addiction to it. There's DraftKings, FanDuel, and other sportsbook ads all over other sports leagues. So why would it be an issue on a D1 lacrosse forum? You seem to think this site is some serious thing that would be tainted by some dudes discussing whether Maryland can beat Richmond by 6 goals or not this weekend. Just don't click on the forum if you don't wanna see it

If anything I would take the over, I don't think a lot of defense will be played and there will be plenty of scoring

Just think, all you gotta do is win a 15-leg parlay on the games this weekend and you could send lil Johnny to any college he wants! :o

I like Hofstra -8.5, Hopkins -3, and Marquette ML (-160).

Also like VMI +4 and ML against Cleveland State for the value - (ML was +350 odds last I checked).

Great start to the season.

Today I like:

Hampton v. Mercer, over 23.5 goals (-130) on DK

And…

Providence -4.5 against Holy Cross (-115 on Bet MGM)

Another 2-0 day.

Now deciding whether to sit on the sidelines for the Colgate Cuse game… 8.5 is a lot of points to cover against a team that just beat PSU, but maybe Cuse is that good?

Tough spot for Colgate. Beat PSU at Panzer, then head to the Dome 2 days later. Much respect for the schedule

Yeah...if you're gambling on these games, then you've got a problem.

If you see sports betting strictly as a form of entertainment/losing endeavor and nothing else, sure, though I'd still argue otherwise. But if you're looking for market inefficiencies oftentimes obscure sports/games like these are the best place to find them.
