Maybe because it's fun? People can gamble wagers that they can afford to lose and it not be a problem. Not everyone has an addiction to it. There's DraftKings, FanDuel, and other sportsbook ads all over other sports leagues. So why would it be an issue on a D1 lacrosse forum? You seem to think this site is some serious thing that would be tainted by some dudes discussing whether Maryland can beat Richmond by 6 goals or not this weekend. Just don't click on the forum if you don't wanna see it

I like Hofstra -8.5, Hopkins -3, and Marquette ML (-160).

Also like VMI +4 and ML against Cleveland State for the value - (ML was +350 odds last I checked).

Yeah...if you're gambling on these games, then you've got a problem.

If you see sports betting strictly as a form of entertainment/losing endeavor and nothing else, sure, though I'd still argue otherwise. But if you're looking for market inefficiencies oftentimes obscure sports/games like these are the best place to find them.
