Alright, healthy debate here predictions below:
1-Delaware- Think you keep the champs at the top. I know it’s the CAA and anything can happen especially losing kurtz and grant but their O is still scary and they are a legit team.
2 -Stony- Feel like they will also be a solid time. I know they returned a lot but losing Anderson will be a tough hole to fill. Also wasn’t great FO play which you need to win close games IMO. Wouldn’t be shocked if they take the trophy back to Lawnguyland.
3- Towson - Think this team was low key dangerous last season . Bring back Demario and an older gomez and wiesser. Their fogo is good but they do lose a solid D parts.
4- Drexel - Think them losing donnely at X will hurt but they still have mulkahy and had good frosh last year play well.
5- Hofstra - Iffy team to me that play to their opponents level. Madsen is good and I think jones is back so O should be fine but they do lose their good fogo so curios to see what happens there.
6- Fairfield- I know they lost dambrogi to deleware which is wild to me to do but he wasn’t amazing for them. Consoli will only be better but they lost McKenna which is why I put them under the Dutch but they could def be 5.
7- Monmouth - They are a scrappy team and honestly give good teams trap games and hang in there but just lack depth to me. Cafferelli at Attack has real slick hands but think they kind of dump it to him hoping to make magic happen.
8 - Hampton - I think they are still building and really need a program turning play to make it better. They do have players I know they had a close who was high in CT per game. They just lack depth I think. Coaches are class but losing JT giles is a tough one for recruitment.

Sorry if I offended you. Would love to get some chatter back in this thing. Who’s teams parents are you taking in a steel cage match? Think Stony Brook ones get -150 odds since they’ll just bring their lunch pal and hard hat to the party. Towson right behind them I think.
With love,
Warm regards,
Sincerely,
Yours truly,
Tighty

Mulcahy was a covid year player,
so he got his 5 years in.

Luke Tomak has taken over that lead role from Mulcahy and Donnelly for Drexel.

Hand up, thought Patterson was a 5th year guy didn’t know he was back. Think you could flop 4&5 then if that’s the case. Lots of load to put on a sophomore tomak. But hey I’m not a doctor.

On Tomak,

its less about that,

Stony Brook write up by IL. Focusing on Pallonetti. Good article.

Delaware loses Ward & Robinson after 24’. Things change a little. And, obviously the conference issues. Stoneybrook will change as well after 24’ losing Pallonetti. I’m surprised he hasn’t transferred to a B10 school as an example. He has stick that is just different then most.

Not a lot of “star power” in the CAA, once all the 5th year players graduate - and once / if the Hens decide to move on,

except for possibly Weisshaar.

———————

IL with the usual,
barely spent 2 minutes researching CAA teams,

CAA
Storyline: Same Old?
Last year, there were three teams tied at 5-2 for second place. In 2022 (with a different lineup), three teams were tied for first at 3-2. That reflects the dogfight that this league so often is. On the flipside, Towson was the conference champ for five of seven years between 2013 and ’19. Delaware has won it back-to-back. Are they poised for a similar run?

Winner: Delaware
It feels like the Blue Hens have a chip on their shoulder. They took Duke to the limit in the NCAA Tournament and, though Owen Grant isn’t there any more, they’ve got Mike Robinson and JP Ward and a deep midfield on offense to put up a ton of production.

Wildcard: Stony Brook’s Time
In a feature story largely about Dylan Pallonetti, I made a case for the Seawolves. They are right behind the Hens and have a large group of veterans hungry for an NCAA berth.

From ILs Stamper, de Snoo played midfield/attack on Drexel’s quarterfinal team - were it not for his high stick skills which were needed on offense he may have been an AA SSDM instead,

Mitch de Snoo Continues to Excel
Speaking of de Snoo, who was involved in the play discussed above, he had yet another hugely impactful game for Toronto.
He made a sensational defensive play in the final minute of the first quarter. Isolated on Randy Staats, de Snoo matches up perfectly with solid footwork and body positioning, allowing him to block a shot with his stick and set Toronto up to have the final possession of the period.
About a minute and a half earlier in the first, de Snoo's impact was felt at the other end of the floor. Having stayed out to play an offensive shift, de Snoo set a fantastic pick the Corey Small shot around and scored to extend the Rock lead to 5-1. He continues to wrack up numbers to support what is plain to see when watching him play: through four games, de Snoo has 3 goals, 8 assists, 10 caused turnovers and 42 loose balls, all tops among Toronto defenders. He may be playing a full-floor game at the highest level of his career early in this season; that is saying something for a former NLL Defender of the Year.
