For sure! Several more of the players will be his.

Anyone planning to go to the season-opener versus Mount St. Mary's?

That game should be a blow out, but you never know these days.

I don't know. The Mount beat them in Annapolis two years ago.

You have to take the "scores" of these scrimmages with a huge grain of salt but according to IL, Navy beat Denver but lost to High Point.

Was anyone at the scrimmage? Just looking for any details on how the Mids looked other than the vague article by IL

What is everyone's take on this upcoming season.
New OC (not much choice given the late departure of coach Phipps).
New Faces on the field (Marsh etc...). Lost some key players from last year's squad. 3 pre-season AA selections.
Win total predictions on the year?
PL standings by season's end?

Many unanswered questions.
Regular season : 8-6, 5-3 in the PL,
Post season : #4 seed in the PL, beat #5 seed, then eliminated by #1 seed.
Final record : 9-7
Coach Cottle will work out well.
FO's, G & Attack unknown. Team D & MF1 will be strengths.

Defense is solid. Offense is week! Problem is always going through midfield only to put points on the board. When middies are scoring more than attack that’s a problem. OC dosnt change things up most likely same result or less than last year. Sounds like the scrimmage was the same old offense.

That attack line should be dropping balanced buckets with the e midfield. IMO 10 should be running the show from the lefty wing. That spot is far too important for someone that is just is a lefty with not much more to offer. Especially on rides and support on clearing/gb scrumming.

I’d also not put 24 behind, too often he slows the game down after momentum and rotations are occurring. I’d rather he work inside or from the high righty wing.

What would be really nice is a midfielder that could spot feed off an invert…??

Defensively, I think we are solid. My reservations are poles that can push translation and demand respect as shooters and feeders when they do. Otherwise, our attack get locked up and we risk turnovers going the other way.

Anyone going tomorrow evening?

I had planned to go, then bailed last minute, figured it was an exercise in futility and I'd just wait for game day.

No arguments there - way too early in the season to predict a W with little information on both teams.

Folks, I hope you are right, and that Navy wins handily.
