Great to see Coffman back. He was looking like a potential all-american before 2022.

Yes that was!AreaLax wrote: ↑Tue Jan 09, 2024 3:24 pm Is that a McNaney sighting in the goal?

Per IL
”Also, sources tell Inside Lacrosse that honorable mention All-American SSDM Dante Trader, Jr., will decide in the next couple of weeks if he wants to play his second season of lacrosse at Maryland following a grueling football campaign. Trader stepped into a starting safety role and finished the season with 53 tackles and two interceptions.”

Re: Maryland 2024
Cool choice for Dante to make. Seemed like about 5 months ago he was sticking exclusively with football, and this is his prove-it year for the NFL. But at least according do some internet 'experts', he's not on many lists of top 2025 safeties. So, maybe he could make some nice NIL money over the next 2 lacrosse seasons. If he does play, it would be nice if he could step back from football practice cuz he looked pretty worn down the end of the season last year. Either way, good luck to him; he's a terps legend.AreaLax wrote: ↑Tue Jan 09, 2024 6:35 pm Per IL

Re: Maryland 2024
I mean, it only takes one wealthy booster to make it worth a kid's time. I know it's a cliche answer for Maryland, but Dante could be an excellent Under Armour rep for the next 2 years. Dante brings more than a lot of lacrosse players.Turnandrake wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 7:18 pmNIL $$ in lax ?keno in reno wrote: ↑Wed Jan 10, 2024 10:58 amCool choice for Dante to make. scrimmage against Duke this Saturday will be moved indoors due to weather and will be closed to the public.
Re: Maryland 2024
Anyone hear anything about scrimmage with Duke
Re: Maryland 2024
Sounds like the Terps had a good scrimmage. 14-7 ish final score. Sounds like they had control the whole way (7-5 at half). Duke sat players in the 2nd half. McNaney and the defense apparently played very well. Defensive midfield was strong. Offensive scoring was spread out all over, which is probably a good sign.
Talked to a player a few days ago, and playing "with a chip on our shoulders" was the first thing out.

Getting Big Mac back is like a warm blanket on one of these cold winter days the last few weeks. Missed him so much
Re: Maryland 2024
Sounds like Elijah Stobaugh is making an impression per Terry Foy of IL

Re: Maryland 2024
Lots of offensive options. Any word on who were the big scorers against Duke?
Re: Maryland 2024
Stobaugh is the only offensive name I heard mentioned but with no numbers associated. It seems there were a lot of scorers. Heard from one person it was 14-7 or 8 but another said 18-8. The second half probably didn't matter much. 7-5 at the half.
