I think the floor is a solid 500 team, need a couple guys to develop and bust out as prolific scorers.

This is exactly it. There is more to winning fantasy than getting this balance right, but I think there are teams that do this well and are consistently good. I think I used to hang on to draft picks for too long. I'd give them sometimes 3 years before moving on. I realized I was missing a chance to get players who've already contributed on my roster. The pendulum may have swung too far the other way though now. I dumped Garrett Leadmon once he started getting SSDM runs. He would've been nice to have in 2023. I dumped Griffin Cook pretty quickly, and he put up some points as a midfielder in 2023. However, no two player trajectories are identical, so it's hard to say "well, this guy is behind this other all american, so I should drop him" because lots of things could happen for that player to be valuable.

If your players do what they did in 2023, you'll be over .500 and in the play-offs... where you'll lose. That's not a bad starting point. But all this comes with an asterisks. JHU...

Remember when I said it's a very bad thing allowing Owen Duffy on this roster for anyone hoping to make the playoffs!

Predict Duffy breaks out and with a well built supporting cast this team is an annual playoff contender.

But he didn't replace O'Berry with a player with proven production. Potential, sure, but not a sure thing. There are still freshmen that I like. Peterson was one of them.

"Dump and recycle into a younger bet" I like Peterson as well smooth and shifty.

I was looking at this kid just no idea how he fits in with myers. Same w McKenna but w two years I feel like he will see the rock a bit.
Hey Ffg, been out of pocket since my pick...actually been in Beantown visiting son at Tufts...but I completely agree with your assertion... that said, he's a great kid who is a beast physically with a cannon of a shot who scored 62 goals and had 109 points last season, albeit at the D3 level. I figured it was a good pick in the 3rd round, perhaps a bit of a flier but, a solid gamble in the 3rd round. But isn't that what you do with your last pick or two?

Last year we got into the 7th round, but that was when Harvard and Villanova players were available and we had to drop Fairfield and UMBC players.

I think 7th Round is the norm though we've gone into 8th and 9th and... When we do going into these later rounds, including the 7th, in general, it's a handful or less of coaches involved.

Brown as well. We made 8 picks last year. Harrison commented he's rebuilding his new roster so he may go extra rounds.
