Benn Johnston is very interesting.
It will be fun to see how Duke uses him and if he can crack the top 2 lines this year.

At that point in the drop, he was at the top of every incoming freshman list. Based on the freshman experts, a unanimous next pick.

Yes. I am loaded at attack but need some depth and an eye towards next year. I had a middie in mind but hope he falls to me next round.PALax11 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 18, 2023 10:12 pmGood value. 29 real points as a freshman.Typical Lax Dad wrote: ↑Sat Nov 18, 2023 10:06 pm Add: Gunnar Fellows Sophomore Attack Army

Re: 2024 Fantasy Lacrosse Draft
We will get it in but it won’t be in the next 3-4hrs, Jr has commitments to a house of worship and will be tied up until 2 or so.
Just in case anyone’s hoping to keep this moving this am.

Re: 2024 Fantasy Lacrosse Draft
So far 16/23 picks have been FR, 14/20 in Rd 1.
Wonder how that compares with prior years which maybe I’ll check later.
Only two middies in top ten which is consistent with midfielder HS to college transition but considering how valuable midfield depth is in this league seemingly it’s a little surprising.

Re: 2024 Fantasy Lacrosse Draft
Last year was unique and won't be a good comparison because of Harvard and Villanova. Prior years will work better for comparison.Farfromgeneva wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2023 11:00 am So far 16/23 picks have been FR, 14/20 in Rd 1.

Re: 2024 Fantasy Lacrosse Draft
16/23 sounds a little low. But just a little. Coaches seem to like new, shiny objects.

When linear projections break down on current roster scrap it and apply those to HS kids!

Re: 2024 Fantasy Lacrosse Draft
Drafting is a hit or miss endeavor. Some of the coaches are very close to the players and certain teams. Talent evaluation and year to year roster construction are very important.
We benefit from having two sets of eyes and every pick is debated. We had Hunter Chauvette targeted before the draft began, but got torn over Matt Traynor also being available which never should have been.
4 years versus 2 years of a seemingly sure production.
Better pick ? Time will tell.
