Quakes have had no problem getting 5 star, 4 star recruits,
even top tens,

the issue is, can they put it all together and make it past
the quarterfinals.

They always seem to lack depth. Their starting 10 almost always are very good, but if you get them into their 2nd MF line or if they have an injury, they don't seem capable of maintaining anything. They also seem to alternate in position groups where their youth is. One year, their defense is really good and experienced while their offense is breaking in new key pieces. The next year, it's the opposite. Since Gallagher left a few years ago, their FOGOs have been average to below.

New Terps' commit from Salisbury School and Sweetlax FL...Chris Alexis.

Saw him at a tournament last fall in Florida. He immediately stood out because of his speed. Was just running past everyone. Looks like he's starting to fill out size-wise, too.

An update on IL's 2025 Top 50 recruits as we near the end of the first month of recruiting: 44 of 50 have committed to 14 schools (all the usual suspects--no sleepers); the remaining 6 include 3 of the top 5 (#1 Millon, #2 Merrill and #5 Hopper). Be interested in knowing whether this is faster than normal or par for the course.
Leaders are ND (8, including 6 Top 25), 6 each for UNC (4 Top 20) and Duke (4 Top 25), UVa (4, 1 Top 15), 3 each for MD (1 Top 10) and Ivy leaders Penn (#3 Maher) and Princeton.
Schools notable by their absence: Big10: Penn State, Rutgers; Ivy: Harvard, Dartmouth.

Dartmouth noted for its absence among schools with commitments from top 50 recruits? Well that's a first. Here's to Kirwan & Co. living up to increased expectations - recruiting and otherwise - for the Big Green!

Is that Paul Hooper’s son? He had another son who played defense for UVA as well.

:D
I'd predicted this would be the case when Lars, Sean and Kip brought this attitude and philosophy to UVA.

I'm hoping we'll see that go-go attitude implemented at Dartmouth; certainly that's the direction Sean is intending to take.
Need the horses, but attitude and philosophy attracts horses. And Sean has an eye for horseflesh.

And its' a heck of a lot of fun to play that way. Fun for us fans too!

I was looking at the IL class rankings. I little surprised by the results.. Teams with 8 blue chips (4star and above)
1. ND - 11 (4 5 stars)
2. UNC- 9 (3 5 stars)
3. Michigan - 9
4. Hopkins - 8
5. Penn State - 8

It will obviously change, but Michigan and PSU being in there is surprising.. (Yes, I know UVA and Maryland will certainly get in the mix)

It would be interesting to see the role that NIL money is having in recruiting of this class. Now that NIL has become more established, is this having a significant effect on recruiting of HS players?

I don't know how they rank the classes and there are some great uncommitted players still out there but, how are Michigan, Hop and PSU on any top list at this point? Yes, they have high commit numbers, but very few if any players in the top 50 and possibly even none in the top 20. Notre Dame, and surprisingly UNC are doing really well. It's not even close for anyone else at this point but that could change. Duke, Maryland and Virginia don't have as many commits but they all have numerous top 10, top 20 and top 50 ranked players committed. Looks like Quality over quantity to me.........
