Recruiting
Re: Recruiting
Obviously. I consider a full ride if you don’t have to pay a nickel out of your pocket. So yes, stacking 50/50 is a full ride.
Re: Recruiting
Historic coup? UNC gets the #1 ranked player more often than not - Hillman, Mastriani, Ortega, Wurzburger ... they even picked up #1 Kerrigan Miller and 1#/#2 Aldeve as transfers. Shocking that team does not win even more than they do.Kleizaster wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2023 9:49 pm Starting to hear some chatter about AS and Stony Brook..CUSE/UNC/SB/Clemson seem to be the final four with BC on the outside. I see this as a CUSE/UNC battle with her going to CUSE. but If she doesn't commit next week this might drag on and the longer it drags, bad news for Syracuse. if she goes to UNCover CUSE and SB it would be a historic coup for Levy not just cause of those connections but she would have gotten the #1 player three years in a row
Re: Recruiting
It’s Clemson. She’s just waiting to go to the football game. Luckily for them they played Duke on the road.
Re: Recruiting
I have not seen AS play. Is she more of a UNC caliber player or more of a Clemson caliber player. Is she a very elite athlete typical of many of the best UNC players or is she a player that has been taught at the highest level how to play the X position very well?

Re: Recruiting
Historic coup in terms of Levy plucking her away from SB and CUSE which is basically all she's known since birth. That's still a big if. and the only two people on that list that were ranked number 1 and committed to UNC were Hillman and Wurzburger. Miller and Aldave were senior transfers, not part of a UNC recruting class. and All those players listed except for Miller contributed to a championship so i don't get what you're trying to say.Lax101 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 12:49 pmHistoric coup? ** Mastro was not a number #1 recruit . You are right about the others …Lax101 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 12:49 pmHistoric coup? mix in good coaching, chemistry, team first mentality of your players —> championships . Even playoff seeding, player health, there’s a lot that goes into winning championships besides having great players .

Re: Recruiting
This will be the 1st big weekend visit. I’m guessing we will sue quite a few next week. Once the big pieces come of the board the it’s a free for all.
Re: Recruiting
Definitely the last part. She plays at x extremely well. Obviously coached extremely well. Can score or feed. Just don’t think that will work against 23 year olds in two years. Doesn’t see the field first two years with Cuse and UNC. Starts with Clemson. But if you look at the last few years the top 5 teams gobble up quite a few of the top ranked players. And the. They transfer because they get no run. Just my opinion. She’s a really good player, just don’t think she is ant that top player level for UNC Maryland etc. Other than full ride at Clemson. That’s a fact.Lax101 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 1:24 pmI have not seen AS play. Is she more of a UNC caliber player or more of a Clemson caliber player. Kid has in incredible lacrosse IQ and in my times seeing her she can do it all definitely a different style Womens player than most are used to seeing. UNC lineup is very difficult to crack for anyone so that’s a challenge for even the #1 recruit but it speaks volumes that they are perusing her. Clemson will be on the rise with location and facilities and Cuse fits this players style really well. Have someone we know that’s close to that has heard all 3 plus Stonybrook are all full offers athletic combined with NIL money

Nice to see some smaller type schools like William and Mary get kids early. Congratulations to those players knowing what they want and not getting caught up in the craziness

Good for those ladies. Not sitting around wondering where the heck is the coach that said she will call two days ago and now it’s four days later and nothing. X3

True. But also remember coaching manage offers different way.LaxGnome22 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 8:03 pmGood for those ladies. Not sitting around wondering where the heck is the coach that said she will call two days ago and now it’s four days later and nothing. X3
Some give shorter deadlines. Others will “overoffer” to encourage early commitments.

I’m just referring to the stress of it all. It’s rough for these young women. Hopefully those two love William and Mary and that’s their top school.LaxDadMax wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 9:46 pmTrue. Re: Recruiting
Question for those who have been through it or those who think they know. And I know we are on a forum so I’m just asking this. Not taking any stock on it.
In regards to money, is it better to commit early, say first month? Or wait until the team has a few commits under their belt? I’ve heard different things of course. Quick commits don’t get money, or they are legacies, etc. And I’m not talking about the top 20 kids. I’m talking about very good kids to any kind of school.
