Maryland gets the 1 seed?
Should have been BC
Nice to see Michigan get the 8 seed
Stony Brook vs James Madison in the 1st round . Winner to meet Maryland.
Potential rematch in 2nd round--Notre Dame vs Northwestern

Re: NCAA Div 1 National Championship Seedings
I agree, the Eagles got robbed there. Maryland was beat by a lower RPI in Northwestern, compared to BC losing to UNC. And UNC and BC both beat Northwestern.
Unsurprisingly, SU got the 5 seed. Got one of the opponents right. Said Penn or Dartmouth vs. Stony Brook (which went to Maryland). Georgetown was a bit surprising. I think it'll be SU-Penn in the 2nd round.
Notre Dame will most likely face the Wildcats again. That'll be an interesting game and it gives me a little hope for an upset so SU stays at home for the quarterfinals.

Re: NCAA Div 1 National Championship Seedings
So BC comes into the tourney with a little chip on their shoulder.
I'm not thinking that's a good thing for the rest of the field.

Definitely agree about BC, but looking at the brackets, I think BC ended up the winner here anyway. UMD will have to get through Cuse or NU to get to the finals, two teams that have given them trouble this season.
I'm intrigued by the potential Princeton-BC matchup.
Definitely some exciting first round games too with JMU vs. SBU and Florida vs. Hopkins!
Re: NCAA Div 1 National Championship Seedings
#2 or not, i prefer BC's path to UMd's.

Well, I am intrigued by the potential Loyola - BC matchup
Re: NCAA Div 1 National Championship Seedings
If all higher seeds advance, BC gets another shot at UNC, which is only right and proper. If BC is to earn the national championship, they should relish the opportunity to expel all monkeys from their back. Right now, UNC is a gorilla.

Actually, the rematch between Loyola and Princeton could be an interesting game...arguably the closest 2nd round game versus Mich and Denver/USC.wlaxphan20 wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2019 8:40 pmtouche! as viewers we really can't lose here!

Who’s handling the picks? And how do we want to run things? TL, can you manage the games and Point tabulation?
A ton of really good games.

Oh well, I was wrong about Notre Dame and Duke. I thought the UND win would be enough to get them past Stanford.
Interesting possible 2nd round matchup between Northwestern and Notre Dame.

Re: NCAA Div 1 National Championship Seedings
Michigan gets a nice warm-up game with either Jacksonville or Mercer, before taking on the winner of USC vs Denver--all home games.
Then, if they remain standing, they get another crack at Maryland (or Stony Brook/JMU?)

Indeed--the Fighting Irish will be looking to return the favor by upending the Wildcats on their home field. I wouldn't put it past them, either. They can be a mighty scrappy bunch.laxorangebookworm wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2019 9:10 pm

Yes, sir!
Happy to do so.
Traveling today ‘til Thursday but should (WILL!) be able to make time to post rules and stuff.
Might anyone happen to recall the point schedules we used previously?
Peace, out.

BRM, Holmes, rc13, any of you recall how we did the points?
Re: NCAA Div 1 National Championship Seedings & Sundries
Will 1st round games be televised/webcast?
I can't remember if that was the case last year. For instance, Stony Brook vs JMU at College Park, MD. Would BTN Network televise a non-Big 10 game? I doubt it. I also don't think either SB or JMU will be able to beam the game due to logistics. I hope I'm wrong. That is the premier 1st round matchup. Killer if it isn't broadcast.
I wonder if BC stays in Alumni Stadium or if they go back to the friendly confines of their lacrosse field as they were last year.
Anyone else think there is a very slight chance that either Stony Brook or JMU upsets Maryland in the 2nd round?
Who has the toughest road to the final four?
BC through Dartmouth/Colorado, Loyola/Princeton, UNC/Virginia/Florida/Navy
Maryland through SB/JMU, USC/Denver/Michigan, ND/Penn/Syracuse/NU
UNC through Fla/JHU, Navy/UVA, BC/Princeton
NU through ND/Stanford, Penn/Syracuse, Maryland

I like the rankings, in general, but specific to this thread, I think the Computer Rankings with an asterisks next to the Tourney participating teams interesting.

Indeed! Great idea to place asterisksadmin wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2019 12:11 pm I like the rankings, in general, but specific to this thread, I think the Computer Rankings with an asterisks next to the Tourney participating teams interesting.
