If it is Plunkett; my money is on muhlenberg hiring assistant Alex Stone. Who I think has been the top assistant in the conference the last few seasons.balderdash wrote: ↑Sat Aug 26, 2023 7:06 pm I'd be surprised for it to be plunket with Muhlenberg on the come up and Blak Widow being very successful, but I think he & his wife are CNY natives - coaching life is a lot easier to navigate when 2 sets of grandparents are around to help with childcare.
If indeed it is the Muhlenberg HC, the carousel will certainly continue to spin about through the fall....

Not many jobs left out there but Coach Roberts has landed a new head coaching gig (not to hard to figure out when you eliminate the top job left and the worst job left). Announcement coming soon and this move leaves Hanover open.

I could see it being the gators or the spartans based on his history.
Need more HCAC teams to pick up men's lacrosse. Transylvania leaving (probably largely due to competition) gutted that conference of meaningful games. The league/competition was probably making Hanover a difficult place to recruit to.

Interesting hire for the Spartans. He has spent his entire career in DI, how does this translate? To his credit he built 2 DI programs from scratch. I've also only heard good things about him. Anyone have any intel?https://castletonsports.com/news/2023/8 ... coach.aspx

I must've been distracted by the big bold letters in a previous post, or the PA based coach might have just negotiated himself a nice little raise

Wasn't Rogers coach at Cortland before? Curious....How many coaches have gone back to their old schools and coached? Where does Utica go now?
So many questions.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Utica moves quick and doesn’t even do a full search. Sounds like the AD has already started reaching out to to fill the position..
With Rumors that Utica may be going D2 in the next 2 years and joining the NE10 does this position become more attractive!?

Kyle Hannan at Goucher went back and is coaching there after coaching in the D1 & D2 ranks for a few yearsOld&InTheWay wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 7:45 am Wasn't Rogers coach at Cortland before? Curious....How many coaches have gone back to their old schools and coached? Where does Utica go now?

Yes, Rogers was at Cortland before, a job he took right after being head coach at OWU. Mike Caravana left the head coaching job at Denison, coached a prep school, then coached at another D3 school before returning to Denison for a successful run of years.Yeti_33 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 9:46 amKyle Hannan at Goucher went back and is coaching there after coaching in the D1 & D2 ranks for a few yearsOld&InTheWay wrote: ↑Fri Sep 01, 2023 7:45 am Wasn't Rogers coach at Cortland before? Hanover job is now open.
Rumblings of a job in the NCAC could be opening before the season starts
