Article (paywall) on Syracuse.com about former SU AA Ric Beardsley wanting the D coordinator job. An all time Cuse great who has been coaching at the HS level for some time. Thoughts about this???

There's a better chance of you or Doc or Hopfan16 getting the job then Ric.

Never happen. His ego and sideline antics will prevent him from getting a coaching position at SU. Which is too bad because he seems like a good coach from an X's and O's standpoint.

I'm sure the vocal crowd will be saying bring Galloway home, much like they were back when they were calling for Desko to be fired. Doesn't seem likely though. There's another article (again paywall) from Axe about potential canidates. The names he lists are Galloway, Wellner(ND), Amplo(Navy), Caputo(Duke), Crane(OSU), McCabe(Adelphi womens), Stevens(Cornell), Bucci(Penn St), and Miyashita(Canisius).

Go for it. In this day and age of "quick rush some news out there to try and be first instead of getting the facts straight" anyone can make a splash.

None of it matters once you hire the right guy but being at the public denial phase a couple of hours in isn’t the best look. This is why you keep this stuff locked down.

What’s the pay and benefits package? Does Syracuse allow you to work remotely?

If I am Ryan Welllner, why would I leave ND for what is essentially a lateral position?

The answer could be the answer to most things. Money.

I’m skeptical of Wellner joining but I guess crazier things have happened. Maybe they give him a fancy new title like assistant head coach as well? Just listing the reasons. No idea how viable they are.

I was thinking the same thing Doc!! I'm really more of an O coordinator though. Though I "might" be guilty of sabotaging the team during one particular game each season.

Agree on the above. Can not see this happening unless $$ is better and/or he is given HC In Waiting. I’d say the same about Caputo to be honest.

Have the defense break out into a Harlem shake every time Bart has the ball on offense.
Same sword they knight you they gon' good night you with
Thats' only half if they like you
That ain't even the half what they might do
Don't believe me, ask Michael
See Martin, Malcolm
See Jesus, Judas; Caesar, Brutus
See success is like suicide
