That’s a strong add IMO. Actually think he might be a better HC than Karweck.

Jastrzembski has been on a roll with coaching hires.
He is now reporting Petro to UNC.

I have my reservations with Breschi but hard to find a more accomplished set of assistant coaches than what UNC is bringing to the table next year.AreaLax wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 3:16 pmWell his sons are there. That's a win for Syracuse. Still pretty crappy to do to the kids that transferred there thinking they were playing for him

Well most of us cannot be all that surprised that Petro is heading down to Chapel Hill to coach jus twins, but they did lose Metzbower who was a big part of 7 natty championships & I still cannot believe that no one has snatched up Simon Conor from Nova ( with his crazy motion offense) and his Delbarton pipeline

best guess his kid (or facsimile) plays behind guys from delbarton. won't let it go. looks like he's also convinced corrado wants to play him, but just keeps getting overruled by conor.Bananas4Laxx wrote: ↑Sun Jul 09, 2023 12:08 pmNever heard of Coach Conor…you his dad?Magbride14 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 11:56 pm Well most of us cannot be all that surprised that Petro is heading down to Chapel Hill to coach jus twins, but they did lose Metzbower who was a big part of 7 natty championships & I still cannot believe that no one has snatched up Simon Conor from Nova ( with his crazy motion offense) and his Delbarton pipeline

Syracuse Spec:
- have to assume that they will go after acting HC or poach a Big10/ACC assistant? Perhaps give the replacement the next HC job at Syracuse?
- who are those guys?
Galloway?
Torpey?
Wellner?
Caputo?
Alberici/Amplo/Chemotti (local product)
Or do you go younger and grab a relatively untested guy?

Wouldnt Billy Dwan be a natural fit there? He could coach his son.

Feels like Cassese going to Virginia was a pretty unique circumstance. I’d be surprised if SU pulled a current head coach from a DI school. I’m pulling for Kyle Georgealas from Army. Timing of all this complicates things (and will trickle down to the school that has to replace their D coordinator).Laxinmay wrote: ↑Sun Jul 09, 2023 3:50 pm Syracuse Spec:

Great call on Georgalas. Thought his ties to the West Point area are strong and he was only holding out for cornell or army.

Why would Caputo go from Duke to Syracuse? That doesn't seem like a move forward- is Danowski's contract short?

Wasn’t it Wombat who always emphasized that Dwan was never the defensive coordinator at Hopkins?
I still think that his brother Matt is one of the best DCs in the game, but he seems thoroughly ensconced at Loyola.

Cuse should be interviewing Jake Coon HC RIT.
He brings everything thet need to the table. He coached the UMASS D when they went to the title game. He is an excellent goalie coach. He is a CNY/WNY guy. He is excellent with recruiting and people. He recruits the kind of of player GG likes. Great connections on Canada he probably has more Canadians on his team than almost anyone. Two titles. I expect RIT to go D-1 before to long. I don’t believe i have ever discussed coaches much if at all but this is a perfect fit

does sound look a good fit for 'cuse, but if they are headed to d1 that complicates things.OCanada wrote: ↑Tue Jul 11, 2023 7:08 pm Cuse should be interviewing Jake Coon HC RIT.

1. I second the Coon pick. Think it would be a great fit!backerzone wrote: ↑Tue Jul 11, 2023 6:35 am Why would Caputo go from Duke to Syracuse? That doesn't seem like a move forward- is Danowski's contract short?
2. Caputo might see no chance at getting head gig if Dino gives it to his son so might try to get out of there and to a job with quicker ride up the ladder. Don’t see him leaving personally but food for thought
