Never seen either play but looking at stats they are good pick ups. Denver becoming a more attractive destination.Wheeler199 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 06, 2023 2:35 pm Olivia Penoyer (Yale) & Jane Earley (Middlebury) to Denver

Re: Transfer portal
Agreed, Olivia was Yale's all time leader in assists and Jane is a 2 time D3 player of the year and was on the Tewaaraton watch list.
Re: Transfer portal
Earley was also a one-time BC commit before deciding she wanted the D3 academic experience. Excited to see what she can do at DenverWheeler199 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 06, 2023 4:49 pm Agreed, Olivia was Yale's all time leader in assists and Jane is a 2 time D3 player of the year and was on the Tewaaraton watch list.
Re: Transfer portal
Didn’t know that so that is interesting. If Thacker stays to reinforce the defence maybe this extra offense power can make them a top 2 team, especially if Curry and Gilbert return. Black had a down year compared to her freshmen year but maybe she can return & Dineen had a strong freshmen year and has more experience now. Sloan Kipp was fun to watch and brought great energy. Was Reagan Wilson injured? She stopped playing late in the season and was helpful on the draw and offense. Olivia from Yale could replace DeRose as a feeder. DeRose on defense will probably be replaced by Sarah Pokorny. DeRose sisters have been contributors on this team for a long time though so they will be missed. Gracie put 24 GB & 26 CT which for Denver are low which is amazing because that is great numbers for a defender. Kayla had 19g & 19a. With final 4 experience, this team (on paper) could be good again.washedup wrote: ↑Tue Jun 06, 2023 7:06 pmEarley was also a one-time BC commit before deciding she wanted the D3 academic experience. Re: Transfer portal
I have been told Ashley Humphrey is now in the portal as well.

Re: Transfer portal
I think academically a senior but NCAA eligibility-wise a junior because she redshirted the 2021 season.Seacoaster(1) wrote: ↑Wed Jun 07, 2023 6:09 amI think she is a junior next year, right?wlaxphan20 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 06, 2023 10:43 pmdo you know if it's for her graduate year? or for this coming year?

Re: Transfer portal
I believe athletes can enter the portal for future years, not just the current/upcoming one, which is why I asked and am interested to know which year she put in to transfer for

Re: Transfer portal
I would hope a kid that close to graduating from Stanford would stick around to finish her degree. There are some schools that are just golden tickets when it comes to the diploma. Stanford is one of them. Similar places like Yale and Harvard. I saw a kid on the men’s side transfer from Yale to Jacksonville before graduating. Yikes. I know everyone’s personal situation is different. But I would hope he doesn’t regret having a degree from Jacksonville versus Yale 20 years from now.

Finishing her degree at Stanford this summer and moving on. 2 years of eligibility left.LaxPundit07 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 07, 2023 9:25 amI would hope a kid that close to graduating from Stanford would stick around to finish her degree. I think Maryland has the biggest need for a facilitator like her, but I don't necessarily think that's where she'll end up. Just thinking of teams that could benefit from a player like Humphrey.

Obviously, yes, haha - but more so specifically teams that desperately need a facilitator on attacknjbill wrote: ↑Wed Jun 07, 2023 10:59 amAll of them?wlaxphan20 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 07, 2023 10:56 am Just thinking of teams that could benefit from a player like Humphrey.

Re: Transfer portal
I hear you and agree, but with Ivies, be sure it's not a 5th year transfer. The lax media is covering all of these kids from Ivies in the portal, but they fail to remind people that (with one exception in 2021 for COVID), the Ivy League does not allow grad students on their rosters. These kids are leaving because they can't use their COVID year at their school after they receive a degree.LaxPundit07 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 07, 2023 9:25 amI would hope a kid that close to graduating from Stanford would stick around to finish her degree.
