A few interesting games today, here's the schedule:

2:30, TP vs. Millbrook. This isn't last year's Millbrook team. The Pride will roll.

2:30, Kent vs. Taft. Look out below.

3:30, Salisbury at NMH. Yikes

3:00 Loomis vs. Westy. Close losses to Deerfield and Choate and a win over Taft had me thinking Westy might put it together this year, but three straight league losses to 'Bury, TP and Avon (two by wide margin) has proven me wrong. I'm sure Westy will be looking for redemption for their season, but Loomis isn't going to let them get it on their home field today.

3:30, Brunswick at Choate. This one could be a very good game. Choate is big and athletic and has a good midfield that could match up well against Brunswick's strength there. Watch this one.

4:00, Berkshire vs. Albany Academy. AA is decent this year, so this should be interesting. I'll take Berk, but in a tight one.

4:30 Deerfield vs. Lawrenceville at Yale. Deerfield will roll, but I like the effort by both teams to play, and a great spot for a neutral site game.

L'ville beat Penn Charter by 4. Stranger things could happen than L'ville winning that game.

Penn Charter? No offense, but they are not a strong team this year. I hear you on the "on any given day", especially with high school kids in a mid-week game. And Lawrenceville has some big athletes and they try hard. They just aren't going to beat DA this year.

Literally turned a way for a second and... 4-3. FAR prefer a game like this.

PS The camera person is awful. 4-4.
PPS Wow. Choate up, 5-4.

Might need to let Choate know that. They are up now in the second.

11-3 westy over Loomis after 3. Westy has dominated in every facet of the game. Loomis hasn’t sustained a possession in over a quarter. They couldn’t clear the ball if it looked them straight in the face.

Wow! That is a shocking score to me given a few of Westy's recent showings, though Looims seems to have cooled off somewhat from their hot start (may be injuries).

Wick now up 6-5

That is obviously not close and I am sure the whole Taft roster saw the field but Kent is showing at least a thready pulse this year, in years past their varsity doesn’t put up 14 on the Taft JV and somehow they played AOF to 6-9. Still should move to West-2 with NMH but golf clap at least for the offense today.

And 15-9 Wick final

DA keeps rolling, nothing flashy but building a decent resume. Beat Lawrencevill yesterday 12-9. They were up 5 or 6 goals with like 5 mins, then gave scrubs some playing time. I also see DA just peaked into Underarmour top 25 (@ May1) after being unranked. They'll need to win Avon game for Salibusy game to really mean anything.

Totally agree, DA has been under the radar, perhaps since they started 0-2. But they have won their last 7 games, including wins against good teams like Loomis and Choate. Winning out could get them at least a share of the title and would certainly bump them up in the polls.

The high school polls are so fickle. They seem overly impacted by whoever played a big game last. So in the early season, the MD teams get the focus, then it slowly shifts northward, but then the West 1 teams finish their seasons and the publics go into playoffs (sigh) and they get the attention in the polls. Whatever, it doesn't matter, but those Avon and 'Bury games for DA should be epic.
