They’re on the clock.
Per IL
“ For spring sports, the 45-day transfer window begins after NCAA Tournament selections are made.”

Re: Transfer Portal 2024
Every kid in 2020-2023 class got screwed. It wasn’t just transfers. It was having an extra year of guys (generally the better players) staying for an extra year which prevented many from playing as a freshman, sophomre and even junior years. What don’t you u understand. Pre COVID extra year a freshman had three classes ahead of him. Due to fifth year COVID they now had four classes ahead of them PLUS transfers.jrn19 wrote: ↑Tue May 30, 2023 4:57 pm Anyone know any of these kids who got screwed by these rental seniors? People have been mentioning this for 3 years now, who are all these kids who never got to play and who’s future got destroyed because a team brought in someone else? Anyone got names?
Which, by the way, they could have done with or without the COVID ruling and could have happened in any number of different ways. No one is guaranteed a spot
Re: Transfer Portal 2024
Yes every single kid in a class used their extra year of eligibility. This is why there are 80 kids on a college team.Formerhound wrote: ↑Tue May 30, 2023 10:55 pmEvery kid in 2020-2023 class got screwed. It wasn’t just transfers. Re: Transfer Portal 2024
Not sure if you are a troll or just plain stupid. As I said the best players on each team generally stayed the extra fifth year. I know at Loyola McNulty, Schafer, Savio, Lindley, Olmstead, Wigley, Cain and others stayed and played (most started or were second line). This NECESSARILY took play time from freshmen like McGorry, Dixon, Roman, Houlihan and others. Same thing happened this year and same next. Kamish, James, Poitras, Pacheco, and others staying a fifth year and starting will take play time away from freshmen and sophomores. It’s just basic math as well as reading comprehension.jrn19 wrote: ↑Tue May 30, 2023 11:24 pmYes every single kid in a class used their extra year of eligibility. Re: Transfer Portal 2024
To add to Former Hound, Loyola and other Patriot League schools do not redshirt (unless medical) so those kids that still haven’t gotten much of a chance, if any, do not get an extra year themselves. The names you mention get one maybe two years to get on the field when it looked very different when they were recruited as high school juniors.Formerhound wrote: ↑Wed May 31, 2023 6:43 amNot sure if you are a troll or just plain stupid.
