Thanks for listing me first. Proverbs says: "If you ain't first, you're last."

Not something you see in women’s lacrosse everyday. Fired with a year left on her contract. Clearly OSU admins believe this program should be competing for championships. Sorry to see this for Amy, but exciting for the sport to see admins taking results seriously. Also assume transfer portal must be in consideration here. Amy inherited a bad program. They must believe with the portal the turn around should have been quicker.

Kudos to Amy for handling it with class too; I am sure it helps to get a payday for a year on the way out. Best wishes to her and her family, will be an adjustment for her family I am sure.

Do you think Spallina is in mix for job? I remember he was a candidate for it in 2019 and may be intrigued by coaching in Big Ten.

No. I think after losing out to Cuse job he will stay at SB . It’s a 5 hour drive to see his kids play at Cuse and he can tweek his SB schedule to make that a little easier .

You may be right although Columbus isn't too different a drive from Long Island to Cuse.

What other coaches do you think will be in line for the Ohio State job?

Where is Deemer Class hiding out? He left his job as assistant at USC a year or so ago . Maybe this job is intriguing to him?

It seems like he’s focusing on his own brand & content creation, but that’s just what I gathered from social media. I don’t have any inside knowledge.

That would be a big jump going from former assistant to head coach at a top Big Ten program.

I dunno...Kayla Treanor is the same age and jumped from assisant coach at BC to head job at 'Cuse. Maybe be a fun opportunity for OSU and Class if they started a conversation. And maybe good for women's lacrosse

Outside of his training business, he has been an assistant coach at St. Paul's School for Girls in MD for the last 2 seasons.

I believe she was promoted to Associate HC at BC before taking the Cuse job.

And KT never stopped coaching - how long has he been gone from USC?

No offense to Deemer here, but the fact that the first person you can think of is a former assistant coach that has been out of the game for 2 years is borderline insulting to the womens coaches in the game. Ohio State is a top 5 paying job in women’s lacrosse. They should have their pick of rising assistants or established head coaches. This reminds me of the laxallstars tweet from a few year ago that listed a random male volunteer for BC as a candidate for the Clemson job.

I could see OSU looking at the following (figuring the Liza Kelly’s and Shelley Klaes of the world say no) :

Head Coach
Gina Oliver from Cinci (alum/HOF)
Meredith Black from Marquette
Munday from USC (actual head coach)
Joe Spallina (doubt he will leave the Island)
Michelle Tumolo (does she capitalize on the successful season)
Allison Kwolek (not enough fanfare for her job at Clemson)

Assistants
Dana Dobbie
Lauri Kenis (home run hire in my opinion)
Phil Barnes

I’m sure there is a dark horse name out there that I am forgetting but this is the type of name they will get.

Is there any chance they consider Capuzzi?

Is there a big difference in salary OSU v USMA?
Were I in that position I wouldn't trade West Point
for OSU. Bigger recruiting challenges at Army (things
other schools just don't have to deal with) but all in
all I'd think Army is a pretty sweet spot.
