Re: Attendance Numbers
Wow, not seeing those as impressive numbers. Just shy of 1,500 at the Hop-Cuse wlaxers game which was played outside at the soccer fields (due to graduation in the Dome), don't think the place holds any/much more than that.
Re: Attendance Numbers
Hens game, I saw where that was the largest turnout ever for a Hen game,
1600 at State College for a lacrosse game is a good turnout.

Re: Attendance Numbers
I think a lot of it, more so for weekend day games, is the volume of club lacrosse commitments. So many likely attendees have games or practices. I would think a Thursday night game for example , opens the door for many more young people and parents to attend than a Saturday 230pm game. Obviously that is not what the NCAA would move to but as a father of 5 I can say we could make a lot more of those than a weekend day game.
Re: Attendance Numbers
That @Duke number was bolstered by a strong showing of Hens fans.Gorilla Fan wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 3:46 pm Sunday: https://twitter.com/laxplayground/statu ... _jxZLgpS5g

The TV numbers must be decent because those numbers are terrible.
I'll refrain from stories from the 70's at NMC and Byrd.

Remember, we only had 8 teams back in the '70's, so the comparison would be to next weekend.ObxTerpFan wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 5:19 pm The TV numbers must be decent because those numbers are terrible.

That said, I'd be surprised if #'s next weekend approach that era.

Seems like Weems-Whalen had those numbers crammed in for St Mary's games lolMDlaxfan76 wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 5:34 pmRemember, we only had 8 teams back in the '70's, so the comparison would be to next weekend.ObxTerpFan wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 5:19 pm The TV numbers must be decent because those numbers are terrible.

Any thoughts as to the split between UMich and Cornell fans at Schoellllkopf?

Re: Attendance Numbers
Some sites were impacted by severe storms so that had a major effect on attendance.
Re: Attendance Numbers
We've covered the Hopkins stuff in the forum. It's a combination of not having a rabil/harrison superstar player draw, the programs long walk in the wilderness, blue jays unlimited-the athletic departments booster organization's insularity, and a changed student body unaccustomed to supporting the program and seeing it win. Embarrassing nonetheless.Gorilla Fan wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 3:46 pm Sunday: https://twitter.com/laxplayground/statu ... _jxZLgpS5g

I tell you what, the Cornell Game felt like way more than 2625 to me. Last home game against Princeton was listed as 2500, Michigan game felt like 50% more than that, not 5% more.Gorilla Fan wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 3:46 pm Sunday: https://twitter.com/laxplayground/statu ... _jxZLgpS5g

Re: Attendance Numbers
Close but Naah……thanks to Delaware for the showing. Just wish they could have pulled it out. The number of Duke player’s parents and girlfriends would run about 50 so that would be a typical spectator number. The regular student body has never even heard of the sport of lacrosse so there’s thatCU88a wrote: ↑Tue May 16, 2023 9:08 amThank goodness Hens fan base travelled or else that number might have been in the teens!IDHen wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 5:08 pmThat @Duke number was bolstered by a strong showing of Hens fans.Gorilla Fan wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 3:46 pm Sunday: https://twitter.com/laxplayground/statu ... _jxZLgpS5g

Michigan had a modest yet enthusiastic reserved section. It was overwhelmingly red.faircornell wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 8:13 pm Any thoughts as to the split between UMich and Cornell fans at Schoellllkopf?

Question for those in the know:
Does one ticket get you both games at Albany? Says that stadium holds 8,500, I wouldn't be surprised to see that one sold out (projected 76 degrees and sunny).
