Adler isn’t hype,
he’s a lacrosse savant,
someone posted the players he has shut down from prior games,
it was a pretty dramatic testament.
I’d assume he was last out, and they couldn’t justify Adler because for defense, the stats just aren’t there compared to attack.

Gavin has 59 GBs and 21 CTs. By comparison, Bowen has 28 CTs but only 21 GBs.10stone5 wrote: ↑Thu May 11, 2023 2:41 pm Adler isn’t hype,

Gibson Smith in 2022: 53 GB and 23 CTO and that wasn't even his best year. Not saying those stats tell the complete story, just as a point of comparison.laxfan1313 wrote: ↑Thu May 11, 2023 3:34 pmGavin has 59 GBs and 21 CTs. Owen has 51 Gbs and 35 CTs.. Makar with 47 GBs and 19 CTs. Mazzone 67 GBS and 17 TOs. Just to name a few Defenseman that are filling up the stat sheets. Adler has played less games, than all. If you wanted to make an excuse for not including Adler, it would be how strong of a field there is on defense this year. (I still think he should have made the list)laxfan1313 wrote: ↑Thu May 11, 2023 3:34 pmGavin has 59 GBs and 21 CTs. Would they award it to a junior (Kirst or O’Neill)?

The assessment of PLL drafters was that Gavin is the best defenseman who was available to draft.coda wrote: ↑Thu May 11, 2023 3:49 pmOwen has 51 Gbs and 35 CTs.. Makar with 47 GBs and 19 CTs. Re: Tewaaraton Finalist
Sure, why not? Some people have won it multiple times.
Re: Tewaaraton Finalist
I made no claim otherwise. Just pointing out that this is a ridiculously stacked defensive class and that may have hurt him.laxfan1313 wrote: ↑Thu May 11, 2023 4:16 pmThe assessment of PLL drafters was that Gavin is the best defenseman who was available to draft.coda wrote: ↑Thu May 11, 2023 3:49 pmOwen has 51 Gbs and 35 CTs.. It's ridiculous Dordevic has hardly been mentioned on this thread as a finalist possibility, especially over Makar. Having an absolutely monster season, especially in the back half. First attackman picked in last night's PLL draft and let's get real, there's not going to be more than one pole finalist and that's gonna go to Adler.
35% shooting percentage, 163 shots, 25 TO’s.
Nope.

Its not unprecedented.

Bummer about Xander. He should be there instead of Shelley.

How are you right? That he’s in the final five? The odds of him winning are by far the longest shot of those. And in a billion years he should not be ahead of Dickson who got hosed.

Tucker's probably got him in assists though, right?Finster wrote: ↑Thu May 11, 2023 6:51 pmny10458 wrote: ↑Thu May 11, 2023 4:51 pmFeels nice being right.Finster wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 6:48 pmny10458 wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 6:41 pm https://www.usalaxmagazine.com/college/ ... prediction

Re: Tewaaraton Finalist
I agree on both counts. even if Kirst and O’Neill come in with a little bit stronger resumes, I don’t think there’s an overwhelming favorite, which means any of the five have a shot. Healthy Shellenberger propelling UVA to the championship would do it.coda wrote: ↑Thu May 11, 2023 2:28 pmHave to agree with this. Adler deserved to be on the list. One caveat though, I would place a bet on Shellenberger, if he had the 5th best odds to win. He has been productive (not to normal standards), despite being banged up. He is likely going to be at 100% in the tournament He has chance to put on a show and steal the Twaaraton.random observer wrote: ↑Thu May 11, 2023 1:19 pmJoke of a list. Shellenberger is there on name and talent; production hasn't been there due to injuries. Dordevic has come on strong, but for the first half of the season he was at times a detriment to the Georgetown offense. Adler's body of work blows both of them out of the water.

I just looked. It’s truly something else. ny1058 needs to study up on the stats book.
